Book 3: Chapter 3 Decision and Deceive
Back in the irken ship Rakel's hands were confined by an energy field. Even though she wasn't a hostile and was cooperating they didn't want to take any risks. Now that they had their cargo they could use all the available energy to do a couple of jumps and arrive at their destination in a ridiculously short time. In just a few minutes and a lot of dizziness later, for Rakel at least, planet Irk was visible at the distance.
Rakel's breath paced as she saw her home planet at the distance. Her past resurfaced in the back of her mind and the thought of being away from Zim again weighted on her heart. She took a deep breath and to still her inner storm she thought of Zim, Dib, and the plans with The Resisty.
After docking the Ripper the guards teleported Rakel and themselves towards Irk's internal prison. There they put her in an empty cell. "You will remain here until the Almighty Tallests see you. They must be arriving in the following days."
The guards left and Rakel observed the place. "Back on Irk only to be a prisoner..." She let out a light sigh and sat on the cold floor. A range of feelings and thoughts visited her mind but still she focused on one. Possible escapes, possible weapons and a way to reach Zim. Rakel looked down at her bracelet and saw that it was off. Odd. After being fixed she always had it on. "That must mean they're blocking everything in this building... Shit."
The long hours turned into two days without food or company. However, thanks to being half irken her need for food wasn't as crucial as a normal human. During this time she exercised, practiced and mentally revised some of her plans. The Tallests arrived and were walking down the dark pink corridors towards her cell. When they reached her cell the guard who had been escorting them opened the cell but they only stood at the entrance. Rakel stood and approached them but remained at a safe distance for her own safety.
"Our good friend Rakel." Purple said as he munched on a sack of donuts he had been carrying. "Too bad she doesn't remember us." He laughed and continued eating.
"I'm sure you're wondering where are you-" Tallest Red began to explain but was cut off the hybrid.
"Oh I do remember, Purple. Red. I know where I am."
At Rakel's answer Tallest Purple choked on his donuts and Tallest Red looked down at her with his mouth agape.
"How? We specifically made sure no one remembered." Tallest Red asked actually curious on how that successful operation failed on the most important subject.
"Zim." She answered simply and they were quick enough to understand as Tallest Red facepalmed and Tallest Purple dropped the bag of donuts.
"He did WHAT!?" Tallest Purple questioned.
"Nevermind that." Tallest Red waved a hand. " We can skip the explanation and get to the point. Rakel we brought you here so you could join fellow invaders in the universal conquest. Keep in mind that if you don't join we will have to... decommission you."
"Yeah! But only after you witness the organic sweep of your galaxy. Ha!" Tallest Purple added.
