Y/n: I'll be going to sensei's estate.
Kanae: Alright! We might not be home if we get a mission!
Y/n: okay!
Y/n began walking to the rengoku household.
...
Senjuro: y/n!
Senjuro ran up to y/n.
Senjuro: you're back!
Y/n: yeah, finally got the chance to visit after all my missions. How's sensei?
Senjuro face turned into a frown.
Senjuro: same as before.
Y/n: oh... Well, I've got some news. Pis kyojuro here as well? Probably should tell you too before him.
Senjuro: yeah! Nii-San is training.
Y/n walked inside with senjuro. He greeted kyojuro as they both hugged.
Y/n I've got some news! I've been away not because of my missions but because I was moving! I had an estate built because I've become a hashira!
Kyojuro: Ha Ha Ha! Congratulations my friend! You've done this very quickly!
Senjuro: that's amazing y/n!
Y/n: I should tell sensei, hopefully, he will be happy.
Y/n walked towards his sensei's room. Shinjuro was staring at the garden with a bottle of sake in his hand.
Y/n: I'm back sensei! I've got some news.
Shinjuro: I don't care! Get out!
Y/n continued talking. He knew how shinjuro became after losing Ruka.
Y/n: I've become a hashira. I've moved with kanae and Shinobu into my own estate.
Shinjuro was quiet. All of a sudden he turned around and threw the bottle of sake at y/n which he dodged making the bottle shatter on the wall. Y/n was now drenched in sake. Kyojuro and senjuro came in after hearing the noise.
Shinjuro: You have no talent at all! I regret ever training you! It's all useless! You will die anyway!
Shinjuro stood up and walked out of the house presumably to buy some more sake. Y/n ran after him ignoring what Kyojuro and senjuro were telling him.
Y/n: would Ruka-San approve what you're doing to us?! Especially your kids! You're also destroying your body by drinking this much sake!
Shinjuro turned around and he was visibly angry. He ran at y/n and slammed him on the wall by his neck.
Shinjuro: don't talk about her, you brat!
Senjuro: otou-san! You're choking him!
Kyojuro: otou-san, stop!
Shinjuro threw y/n onto the floor.
Shinjuro: a hashira? Pathetic.
Shinjuro walked away to get his sake.
Kyojuro: are alright, y/n?
Y/n: yes, I am.
Y/n was holding his neck.

Y/n was heading home, his haori ruined and his neck had a mark. As he was going to the door, it opened. Kanae walked out with Shinobu behind her.
