_______

The cold wind blew around, the aftermath of the rain which had already stopped, but he was all soaked in the rain.

There's a moment when a person thinks everything they had been doing till now were all turning against them,

Feeling like whatever was done didn't mean anything now that he opened his eyes.

That's what Taehyung was feeling, standing and looking down at the gravestone with no expression, completely still, like no wind could shake him up.

Funny, how Taehyung always had this grudge against the person he loved, always felt inferior in his presence.

At the point he solely believed Jeongguk hated him just because he didn't change himself, if he were to be someone else maybe things would have been different.

Soon it turned into a competition to himself, if he can't be someone else, Taehyung tried to be better for himself, where sometimes his morals took off the debt. Knowing well how officials actually were when he got into the whole mafia mess.

He wanted to show Jeongguk that he is capable of being something, not entirely good but not evil either, he still had humanity, his own rules which he never guessed to try. Taking matter in his own hands like and cleaning it all up when the people failed to do so when it was their job to punish and give justice.

But now....

Taehyung doesn't know anymore, as if these six years he used to build himself, just losts its all motive.

Finally Taehyung couldn't hold anymore, parting his lips to break a choking sob, only a gist mirroring how his heartbroke, he fell on his knees tiredly.

The wet hairs bangs falling over his eyes, as he looked up at the gravestone.

"I'm sorry..."

He gulped, the eyes even hesitating on keeping a gaze on the engravings.

"I'm sorry that i couldn't fulfil my promise" he tilted his head.

A sweat bead trailed down the corner of his forehead, but he felt so drained on wiping it, his arms stuck by his side and refusing to move.

"You-asked me the only thing, to protect Jeongguk..but instead I left him" Taehyung exhaled a breath, feeling his heart clutching whenever mused the younger's bruised face, "is this...what I deserve on breaking my promise, Mrs. Jeon?"

He slowly closed his eyes, partially grateful that he decided on coming to Korea, and not depending on his mens, no wonder they couldn't find Jeongguk.

He took a deep sigh, clearing his thoughts.

"But I'm here now...I won't let him go-Even if he..asks me too," he took notice of his tears falling from eye, shrugging as he gave a nod, a silent promise to himself. "I don't know if you still trust me but..I'm not going anywhere leaving him..."

A pause,

"Not when I still love him...."

Taehyung slid his palms on the staircase's handrails, stepping his way on the second floor when he heard a few murmurs.
