The way his raven bangs fell over his eyes, it was enough for the blonde to keep his gaze still…
Soothing motion of his eyelids blinking in a fluttering rhythm almost made Taehynng tilt his head, keenly perceiving Jungkook who sided his eyes away once they both heard a few puppies barking and garnering their attention.
Taehyung noticed a subtle curl in the corner of the younger's lips while he took off the two pups trying to snatch a toy from the other.
It felt at peace, with the soft music playing in the background and creating a more laid back ambience, though he resisted starting any forced conversation seeing how the younger was more tuned in towards the playing puppies in the playpen. Low-key feeling a teeny tiny bit stupid to willingly handing his desired want for attention being taken by the unaware cuties, aloof to any tiger eyeing a certain bunny in patience as when he'll get his doe eyes back on him again.
But if only he had any idea what it was doing to the male sitting across him, his fingers fidgeting with the bold wedding band under the table, and his one thigh bobbing continuously while his eyes were trying to stay put on Miri and Chopa playing around together, and so his gaze revolved around the pastel cafe that seemed to such a good place for a...date setting.
'Keep it under cool..' Jungkook made himself aware, yet he could still feel how Taehyung's undivided eyes on him really did something to him, as always...
After a while later of them staying in silence, Mari forwarded and placed the orders on the table. "Enjoy your date," she smiled and turned around to walk back to her spot behind the counter.
Though unaware how the raven haired male fluttered his surprised eyes at her, while the suited male simply tried to calm himself down with the straight up mention of the obvious elephant in the room.
Jungkook blinked his gaze back at the plates of colourful macaroons and sweet scented glazed donuts, before gazing back up at the blonde when the latter took a piece of macaroon and tasted, eyes meeting and the younger felt his heart stammer in his chest, especially when he realised the setting had been unknowingly referred to as a date.
He took hold of the glass of hot chocolate and sipped on it with small gulps, his eyes furrowing a little at the sweet creamy taste, especially with the scent of cocoa tingling his nose and he realised everything seemed so perfect and nice.
With the music to the puppies, the feeling of hospitality and the taste of food, he gazed towards the entrance door.. a little curious why there weren't any other customers as well.
It was just them..
Taehyung noticed the distracted look on his husband, who's eyes were just lingering on the exit, gazing back at him once he saw where he was looking, "Do you..not wanna stay anymore?" somewhat perplexed, cause he thought the latter was having a good time.
Hearing his question, the ravenette looked back at him. "h-huh? uh, no.." he blinked, holding on to the donut and taking a bite of it, yet he lifted his eyes at the surrounding, it was a bit unassuming, seeing the young owner behind the counter just placing the spoons and bowls into its collect places, and the happy yappings of the pups.
Jungkook internally frowned, at why the place was without any customers..
He felt like people were missing out on something nice, and not to mention how it made him reminisce about his own past of several shifts he had taken in the diner, running around to take orders and sometimes falling between the dispute of drunk customers and tired employees and customers themselves...
