Chapter 1 A Special Gift

It was a Monday morning and the sun was rising. Going through a window into three separate rooms. We see three people sleeping in their beds until suddenly an alarm clock goes off which wakes them. They reached and turned their alarms off.

"Time for another school day" Twilight said while getting out of bed.

Soon we hear a woman's voice "Twilight, Max, Jyugo you guys better hurry up you don't want to be late for your first day of school" said the woman.

"Ok" the three of them said all at once to let her know.

A few minutes later Jyugo and Max were at the table eating breakfast. Twilight was making her way down the stairs.

"Morning Mom" Twilight said while giving her mother a hug before sitting down.

Her name is Jessica and she's the mother of Twilight, Jyugo, and Max.

"Did you all sleep well?" she asked while drying off some dishes.

All three of them replied "yes" to her.

"Great," she said while she was putting away the dishes.

Soon they heard wheels from a bus squeaking outside and stopping at their house.

"Alright kids, the bus is here to take you guys to school" She said, opening the door.

"Do you all have everything you need?" she said, making sure they didn't forget anything.

They all nodded while having everything.

"Okay Max you go can you tell the bus driver that Jyugo and Twilight are coming" said while Twilight and Jyugo both looked confused.

She went to Max and whispered to him "Keep an eye on your brother and sister and keep your powers hidden" she said while Twilight and Jyugo were standing there.

"I know and I will," he said, then blinked at her and ran to the bus.

She got up and ran to grab a small box, came back, and hid the box behind her back.

"Is something wrong mom?'' Jyugo asked.

"No sweetie, I just wanted to give you and your sister something before you go," she said while taking the box from behind her back to show them.

"What is it?'' Twilight asked.

"Well before I open it, today is your first day of high school and I waited to give it to you on this day".

She opened the box which showed two amulets with a blue gemstone on both of them.

"Grandma gave me this amulet on my first day of high school. Since I had two amulets made I kept them in the box to keep safe". She said while they were listening to the story.

"When I gave birth to you and your brother I decided to carry that tradition and give you the amulets on your first day of school". She said, trying to hold her tears in this moment.

Jessica took the amulets out of the box and put both on Twilight and Jyugo's neck.

"Do you like them?" she asked, still smiling at them.

"There, beautiful mom," Twilight said, looking at the gem.

"Thanks mom," Jyugo said right after Twilight was done talking.

They both went in to give her a big hug.

"Okay you guys better get going now" she said after finishing hugging them.

"Bye" they both said before rushing to get on the bus and soon the bus left the house.
