"F-Father, what if they found out that I am the one that they're looking for?" Livia was trembling as she held her father's arms.

Her father, the Empire's Duke stared at her with pity in his eyes. The Duke gathered her in his arms and hugged her tight.

"I won't let that crazy Prince have you..."

By the time that Livia turned ten years old, her mark appeared on her chest. She was happy that she have someone who's fated to be with her for the rest of her life. However after a month of having the mark, she immediately regretted it...

Because she came to know that she is fated to be with the abandoned Prince. Even her father was upset about that fact. And that is the reason why Livia decided to never show herself outside of the Duchy.

But then the Emperor ordered every unmarried noble lady to attend the victory ball that the Crown Prince would personally host for the first time.

That made Livia scared...

The Crown Prince was notorious for being a madman. After spending almost half of his life in the battlefield, his cruelty of brutally killing the enemies spread throughout the whole continent. So for Livia who lived her whole life secluded because of fear, she's of course scared of the man fated for her.

Livia was somehow relieved because of her father. She's putting all her trust in her father that he'll never let her nightmare come true.

When she was young, she was not even wishing for a man with a high ranking title, she was not having illusions of marrying a prince either. She was only wishing for a kind man. And that was what her father and mother wanted for her aswell.

Because of the mark on her right chest, her mother prepared a turtle neck gown for her to wear at the ball. Although the Empire's trend right  now is a gown that reveals a lady's collar bone, the gown that the Duchess prepared for her daughter is outdated. But that doesn't bother Livia.
