(Quick A/N: thank you for reading up to this point! I have an outline of how I want to rest of the story to go and it will most likely end on chapter 20! I try to update this story as much as possible so that may not be that long. As soon as I finish this story I have an idea for a new Dreamnotfound story I will start on. Make sure to check it out when it is posted 🥰)

The first week with Dream was wonderful, we spent most of our time hanging out. We played a lot of Minecraft together, which was so weird, because we were finally able to play together in the same room. We had to drag all of Dream's setup into my room to make it possible, but it was so worth it to be able to play with him. We spent our nights cuddling until we fell asleep, everything had been perfect.

Then I got a phone call. I had an opportunity to go LA for two weeks and I would be able to do some really cool things with the fans. I would be doing meetups, Skeppy, Bad, Karl, Sapnap and Quackity would all be there. We would be streaming every night together. It was going to be so much fun, but Dream couldn't go. It wasn't that Dream hadn't been invited, it was that he didn't want to risk going and doing an accidental face reveal. I had practically begged him to come. This was going to be an amazing opportunity, to hang out with all of our friends and I wanted Dream to be there so badly.

Dream insisted that this would be good practice for when we had to be long distance. I didn't know what he was talking about, we had managed to be best friends for years without ever meeting how much harder could it be now?

Dream didn't even help me get to the airport. At this point I was getting a little frustrated. I know he didn't want to face reveal, but I honestly felt like he was letting it control his life. I didn't want to argue with him though so I didn't say anything about it and instead I ordered an Uber.

Dream gave me a huge hug when the Uber was getting near. "I'm sorry I can't go," he said sadly. "Trust me George, I really really wish I could."

"It's not late," I said trying one last time. "You could surprise everyone."

Dream shook his head. "Your Uber's almost here George. Be safe and call me when you land okay?" I nodded and kissed him on the cheek.

"Just a cheek kiss?" He asked. I chuckled a little and gave him a proper kiss on the lips. He smiled and wrapped his arms around me one last time. "I love you George."

"I love you too Dream, don't destroy my apartment." I said with a laugh.

"Me?" He asked and put his hand on his chest in mock offense. "George, I would never."

I rolled my eyes playfully and grabbed my luggage before heading out to the Uber. As soon as the door shut behind me I felt so sad. I couldn't believe that I was already missing Dream when he was literally only meters from me.

George: how do I already miss you?

Dream: I'm sorry I couldn't go.. I'll make it up to you

George: pinky promise

Dream: I pinky promise

I took a deep breath and stared out the window. The drive to the airport wasn't that long. It was so boring sitting at the airport waiting. I had on my "georgewastaken" hoodie that Dream had got me. A younger girl came up to me and I could tell she was very nervous.

"H-hi," she said. "You're Georgenotfound right?"

"Yeah," I said with a smile.

"Could I get a picture with you?" She asked.

"Of course I said with a smile," she took a picture of us and talked to me for awhile telling me how much she loved watching my videos. The interaction was great and eventually her mom came over and told her they had to go. I waved her off and texted Dream.

George: good thing you didn't come

Dream: why?

George: I had a fan come up to me

Dream: oh yeah? How was it?

George: it was great she was really sweet

Dream: awww good

When I finally got to LA Karl picked me up from the airport and we waited on Sapnap since his plane landed around the same time as mine. It was a little awkward being alone with Karl. Sure we had talked since what happened but I still worried that he may get the wrong idea about what my intentions were.

"Where did you get the hoodie?" Karl asked.

"Oh Dream actually had them custom made actually. We have like four hoodies," I said with a smile. "This is my favorite."

"Did you bring them all?" He asked.

"Yep, they're in my suitcase."

"Aw cool I wanna see them," he said with a smile.

"Yeah definitely I'll show you when we get to the Airbnb," I smiled. There was an awkward paused before Karl spoke again.

"So, are you excited for the event?"

"Yeah I just wish Dream was coming," I said a little sadly.

"Wait what?" He asked and his face looked confused. "What do you mean?"

I didn't know how to answer that, I meant what I had said. "Uh, I wish Dream was coming to the event?" I said and it sounded like a question.

"Oh yeah me too!" He said with a laugh that sounded very forced.

"Are you okay?" I asked and he nodded.

"Yep, look I think that's Nick." I turned around and he was definitely right. "Give me a sec," he said and ran up to him. Karl greeted him with a kiss and then whispered something in his ear. Obviously I didn't know what he whispered but I felt very confused about the way Karl was acting suddenly. I decided to just ignore it.

When we got to the Airbnb Karl helped Nick carry his things inside so I was left to carry mine by myself. I really wished Dream were here, he definitely would have carried his bags and mine. I didn't want to spend this entire time I had with my friends missing Dream, so I decided to hang out in the living room and play Just Dance with everyone while the others arrived.
