Through the foggy and dusty window, she sees the same old neon sign she's seen for the past 3 years.Motel Sublime

Not many visitors stop through the motel considering it's surrounded by trees on the side of a road no one drives on, but it's enough for Emily. She was happily watering the tulips by the door outside when she heard a car pull in. The sound of the tires on the gravel isn't that all fascinating to her, but this one sounded different. It's almost as if the person was urged to get to the motel. Emily didn't mind though, she isn't one to get in someones business but she was a bit curious.

The car stopped right at the lobby and she could hear the engine stop. Emily went into the lobby and started to take out sign-in papers when the wind chimes rang meaning the person in the car had walked in.

"Welcome to Motel Sublime how may I help you?" She asked, the man's back turned to her. There was nothing much to him, aside from the fact that he wasn't making direct eye contact with Emily.

"Yeah all I need is a room." Emily took a key off the wall next to her and set it on the desk. "Alright all I need is your license plate number, a few signatures and we'll be done here."

Before she could pull out paperwork, the man had grabbed the small key with the plastic card reading nine and was almost out the door. He had left a one-hundred dollar bill on the counter and scribbled his license plate number on a small sheet of paper.

Emily caught a glance of him grabbing things from the back of his car. She felt like she was invading his privacy, but she was very intrigued by his actions and the way he wanted to leave so quickly. She shrugged it off and began to file in his paperwork.

She had almost finished writing all his information when she realized she had left a space blank.

Name.

How could she forget something so simple? The thing is, she would have to find a way to get the mysterious man's name.

Emily wasn't sure when she would see him again so she made her way down to his room and knocked on the door. The water was on, possibly making it harder for him to hear so she walked back to the front desk and went on with her day.

Eventually the man left his hotel room and headed to his car. The car pulled out of the vacant hotel and there he was, gone again. Emily left without a name.
