This is going to be the night, we are going to remember.

I poured myself some orange juice. That was the one I had picked up from the nearest mall. I had just pushed them in the cart and had brought them for my family's sake. The fridge was again empty after weeks of shopping for groceries, food, and so on. The one thing I was kind of relieved about was there were still ice cubes in the freezer and water in the kitchen. I made myself comfortable after the frantic hot summer day and poured myself a few ice cubes in the new glass cups I had got myself for the girl's hangout.

Our friends were supposed to have a tea party, talking about the guys, gossip, and the great future. The 3Gs. Oh, but there's one called the games. We often hang out at my place for some card games and loads of chit-chat. The fact that we had been friends for years, and talking about everything at school wasn't enough. We had always hung out after school, just to add to the gossip of our everyday lives.

  But this time was different.

I was going to leave. And this might be the last time I might be seeing my friends. This might be the last time we are going to share our happy memories, talking about the latest gossip about teachers, chatting about strong and lithe guys in class, and so on...

We might not have the next hangout together. I would be on the other side of the earth while they were right here, striving hard for the tests. And maybe I might be struggling to meet friends, thanks to my introverted personality. These extrovert friends had been my backbone and my support all these years. And now, this is going to be the end, and I still felt like the first time we had met and been friends, talking about everything open without any secrets in between.

My friends, Cellia and Bella had been friends forever. They hung out at my house very frequently, and they made themselves at home. They had brought themselves wine and beer at the nearby local store and poured ice into the glass cups. We decided to have our late-night chat till midnight or till dawn.

"So..." Cellia said, "I didn't know that the introvert guy has a girlfriend!" She poured the beer into the glass cup and twirl it around as the rich and royal do. She formally sipped some of her drink and continue blabbering, "like... no one ever cares about him, and he didn't care about the others. He had trapped himself in a bubble that completely covered himself from the outside world!" Cellia was the most talkative among the whole friend group and had always been the leader in talking and arising topics.

"But who...?" Bella poured the last bit of her beer into her cup. She was trying a new beer that she had been wanting to try for weeks, and I guess our impromptu late-night talk was the perfect opportunity to taste wine and beer. Honestly, it was their first time tasting these kinds of adult stuff. All of us were under the age and they had sneaked themselves the beer to toast a cup to my departure. I still stuck to juice, my preference was to obey the law rather than risk them.

"That Benjamin, girl," Cellia answered excitedly as she was over the moon to show off she had another piece of mind-blowing gossip, "you know what...?! He had a girlfriend which was so pretty that I heard she was studying at another school..." Cellia showed a picture of the girl. She had a flawless face, like any other pretty girl. Big eyes with long lashes, thin lips. Her brown hair was wavy and shiny, and surely the boys will fling and drool over such a glamourous girl, "and I heard she was the topper of the top school in the city."

"But why did she choose him?" I asked, gulping my juice, "there are tons of other cute AND smart guys all over the place, but that girl chose Benjamin and vice versa. Seriously, in my opinion, that girl deserves way better."

"Come on! Allie!" Cellia said, shrugging, "you know that Thomas guy is really intelligent. So it isn't surprising that the girl would fall for him!"
