Even though the theories were explainable, but thinking a little longer, everything was out of track.
How on earth could he travel to another dimension of time?! Like travelling through time to the past, change the people's lives. That seemed like the provocative questions people would ask about to see if they were willing to do something to change the world for the better. But that opportunity would never land on his hands.
"What if... I tell you if I could travel across time?" He asked his gang.
"Good joke, Anson," Benjamin chuckled, laughing his socks off, "any more?"
"I'm serious," he answered his friends, "what's the use for if you could travel back time?"
"Like travel to the past to encourage his past self before to study harder?" Carlos answered, "so that you could kick back and revise things hard like university stuff?" He shook his head, "you're already a straight A, dude. Don't make me feel bad for not studying for a minute or two. It is hard to catch up the progress of the toppers in class."
"You're right! So he doesn't need to attend all of the stupid and monotonous class where teachers taught the same thing all over again and again like I was repeating the same day for the whole year," Benjamin said, "like don't ask why we couldn't determine what day is today. Every day is the same materials, the same books. It's like the teachers tells us to study ourselves, and all they do was just sit back and relax."
"Wait! Anson didn't really attend the lesson right now," Carlos corrected him, "so your assumptions were wrong. He hardly pays attention and just chat and make jokes throughout the lesson, in front of the class. And he still manages to be the number one in class."
The two was boasting at how Anson was smart and great he was.
"No!" Anson told them, "I am serious."
"You don't need to have such kind of superpowers," Carlos replied, "if you're in some kind of questions about saving the people by going to their past and change something and tell them."
"I think if you could choose one superpower, you would choose flying one," Benjamin eyed him confidently, "you always wanted to travel around the world, going to places around freely and explore everything."
"Doesn't that called speed travelling?" Carlos asked.
Anson sighs. No one understand what he was going on. He had just keep that to himself. His friends thought he was about to get more and more serious, not the cheery one who likes to crack jokes in between studies. Now, he was gone.
Now, the unreal question came. He did have a chance to change her fate, whether she should face the consequences of death. Seems unreal, but that was true. As the phone of Allie reminds of the time, he notices the strange scenes. The one maintanence which was supposedly to end a week ago reappeared in his sight, the road blocks, everything was familiarly happened in some parts of his life, but he didn't remember up till he noticed the date.
Now everything surely made sense, as Anson pulled back the sheets of graph paper, trying to scribble down the dates. It has already been days since she had gone missing, and he had been dreaming of Allie in his nightmares. Afterwards, it was like floating back in time, and he was back to a week ago, where Allie was still alive. No wonder she didn't know what was going on.
Counting back the days left till she was dead, there was still 4 days. But the fact was he had to make sure he had managed to get back to the past like the days before, and prove to Allie how he understand. Allie thought he was acting ridiculous, even though her impressions of Anson started becoming better after hanging out a few days.
