The book is not romantic initially because the case of dowry will be explained in initial chapters ,though you will find more romance in this book when the real hero comes. This book is about a girl and her choices.

"Nandini try to come soon, after all today people are coming to see you and the boy is quite rich. Your father want you to settled before he takes his retirement." Ashwini shouted from downstairs and nandini just descend the stairs down quickly.

It was her small house which her father created with his hard work. Nandini just look into her mother's eyes and found only happiness and warmth, she could feel how much happy her mother is. After all it's her dream to see the marriage of her only daughter.

"Oh ma, yes i'm going but i will some soon. Don't worry about the proposal because my behaviour is depend on how they will treat me." Nandini spell out and taking her bag went out.......
........on her job.

This is nandini a tigeress, she's not bothered about what people thinks about her. She has two rules no.1 always live your life to the fullest with your rules and second one is always follow rule no.1.

Once she got settled on her scooty, she started it and went back to her channel. She just started her career just before 2 months and she's a journalist who always write about the cancer of society.

Soon she reached her channel and found everybody gearing up, she just asked one of her friend and she informed her about a newly wedded bride who just commit suicide because of the pressure of dowry. Nandini's eyes raged with fire and she just picked her mike and went along with her team to cover the news.

Soon they reached their destination and found a girl who was laying lifeless on the floor of marriage hall because of the high burning, nandini closed her eyes partly and then signalled the camera man to start the recording and as always like the tigeress, she started to attack on the enemies............

Soon as always nandini was on every single tv and her news got viral, she's journalist and her father just put his all money just to create her future, she's also give him the 100% better result then his expectation and become the face of the channel, a tigeress who is not scared of anyone.

After a long shoot of 3 hours, nandini had to go home because of the people who are coming over today. She was wrapping up when one of her colleague approached her.

"Wow nandini every channel want your recording. Today you just showed those  baggers their real face and every channel demands you. Why are you going so soon today?" Shyam asked her and she said taking her helmet into hands.

"Today people are coming to see me. Ma want me to get married." Nandini replied giving him a smile and he just laughed out loud.

"After watching your recordings they will surely give a yes in fear but you say yes when you are totally sure because a girl like you only deserves the best." Shyam praised her after all she's a very goody goody girl to everyone. She laughed hearing him and went out taking her helmet.

"Oh god i am late, i am one hour late. This delhi traffic will kill me someday. I have to defend myself from the nuclear." She mumbled under her breath and reached her home quickly. She just ran in and found herself on the tv.

She could see 3 people who were settled on big sofa comfortably and see her father who was talking very sweetly and politely to them. Suddenly her father saw her and big smile apper on his lips.

"See my daughter is here." Anand agarwal, nandini's father said pulling her inside the house and make her sit on the another sofa beside himself. Nandini wasn't blushing like other girls, her expressions were very calm and composed.

"Who doesn't know her, your daughter is the one of the finest face on news channels. I just love the way she talks and put her question forward." A lady in late 40's answer him and nandini smile.

"I really like your girl and it's a yes from my side...........we are ready to make her our daughter in law." The man is early 50's says to nandini's father plainly without any expressions.

"I also like your boy......i think now we should give our kids some personal space. After all they're gonna spend their life together." Anand said and get no answer from other side.

"What do you mean by send our kids alone, we are elders and it's gonna be us, who will take decisions for them. I don't think they should talk to each other neither i support this." The father of soon to be groom said in strict tone and nandini could see the plain expressions of the boy who was sitting between them.

"Papa I don't want to do this marriage. Can't you see how conservative they are. Their boy doesn't even have the guts to open his mouth before them." Nandini just got up from her seat and her father nod in yes.

"You girl, how dare you?? You're wearing these clothes infront of me and yelling without any shame. Aren't you a little bit ashamed of standing like this before your father in law." The man also got up from his seat and yell on nandini.

Nandini felt really enraged because this man who doesn't even know her is pointing out on her clothes and teaching her ethics. This life is her first choice and nobody has the right to point out on this.

"First of all when you're not ashamed when you keep such a foul thinking why should i be ashamed when i am living my life with my rules. It's my choice and papa i am not gonna do this marriage at any cost." Nandini just give her decision and she could see the colour draining off from all the faces there.

Anand join his hands and said," we are sorry but we can't go forward with this alliance."

Nandini take a step towards her room when suddenly a boy of late 20's come infront of her,"I am rishi yadav. I want to talk to you alone." The boy said and nandini just nodded her head and show him the way to her room.

Devesh yadav who was the father of rishi was going to decline but kept mum when his wife sulekha hold his hand and nod in no by her eyes.

Nandini took him into room meanwhile  devesh was praising his son nonstop and anand was silently listening him.

"My son salary is 50,000 rupees per month. You can't find more handsome groom for your daughter than my son is. My son is this ........... My son is that......" Devesh kept praising his son and after getting annoyed finally anand open his mouth.

"Yes i know rishi is the most deserving boy and a very nice person but let me tell you devesh ji my nandini is a journalist and her salary is 50,000 and it will increase every year by promotions." Anand said and both devesh and his wife sulekha watch him with shiny eyes.

Soon nandini come out with rishi with bright smile on her face and said,"papa i am ready for this marriage." She said and anand got really happy.

Rishi was also smiling where sulekha and devesh were smirking looking at each other.

"I want to continue my job after marriage also." Nandini declared directly looking at devesh. He nodded curtly.

"I will wear whatever i want even after marriage." Devesh again nodded.

"My father won't support the custom of dowry so we won't give it." Nandini said and devesh was going to say something, same time sulekha clutch his hand making him shut.

"Yes beta, we also don't support dowry." Sulekha said being extra sweet and both family exchange gifts with each other.
