chapter 10

Jeongyeon has returned to Seoul, while Chaeyoung is still on Jeju Island. Now Chaeyoung is driving to the market.

Once there he stands not far from Nayeon's booth, to spy on those concerned.

"He's not trading today" Chaeyong muttered while looking at Nayeon's empty place.

"Ah..maybe she came late"Chaeyoung decided to wait a little longer.

"her brother is imprisoned?" Chaeyoung accidentally overheard a merchant being busy talking to other traders.

"Yes.. he's in prison" replied the second merchant.

"Poor them" said the first merchant who showed a sympathetic face.

Hearing Nayeon's name mentioned made Chaeyoung even more curious. He then approached the men.

"Sorry sir.. why is it Nayeon's family?" asked Chaeyoung who pretended not to know.

"Who are you?" The second merchant looked at him curiously.

"I'm his friend" Chaeyoung said with a little smile.

can't you tell?" this man replied which gradually made Chaeyoung almost lose his temper.

"We haven't seen each other for a long time and I came here to see him. But I saw that he wasn't trading" Chaeyoung replied, holding back his annoyance.

"Is that so" replied the first man.

"About nayeon? we are so sorry"His life was really tested... he was poor, orphaned and now he's pregnant without a husband plus now Jaehyun's his brother is in prison" exclaimed the second man with a concerned face. the man said.

"He almost killed people" Chaeyoung tried to calm down, then he decided to leave from there.

"So that's why he's not here.......hyung should know this" chaeyong thought

Jeongyeon was sitting in his office after a long day of teaching.

The students and lecturers really miss a friendly figure look like Jeongyeon.

"Where have you been?" said one female lecturer who is also a close friend.

"I have business to attend......i need to finish it" replied jeongyeon while accepting the americano that the woman offered to him.

"It seems very urgent" said the woman while sitting in front of jeongyeon.

Suddenly jeongyeon's cell phone rang and showed chaeyoung who was calling her.

"Hey chae.. what's wrong?" Jeongyeon asked angrily.

"Hyung.. it's bad .." Chaeyeong replied with an anxious tone of voice.

"Calm down.....what's wrong? Jeongyeon is starting to worry.

" Nayeon's brther... Jaehyun is in prison"chaeyong said

"What.....but how come" jeongyeon panicked and walked back and forth.

"I don't know..now how?"

"I'll call Suho to release him.. you wait there" said Jeongyeon.

Jeongyeon turned off Chaeyoung's call then continued to contact Suho. Suho promised that after he finished his task, this evening he would leave for Jeju.

Nayeon is currently in a rage, he doesn't know what to do.

Nayeon was shocked when she heard something falling, she immediately ran towards the source of the sound.

Her heart seemed to stop beating when she saw her grandmother lying on the floor unconscious.

"Grandma...grandma" Nayeon woke her up by lightly patting her cheek. whose eyes were  watering.

Nayeon quickly contacted Jihyo to ask for help. They arrived at the hospital. The doctors and nurses brought Nayeon's grandmother to the ICU.

"Jihyo-ah" Nayeon hugged her friend's body while crying.

They waited for almost an hour, finally the doctor came out.

"Are you the patient's family?" asked the doctor who approached the two.

"Yes, doc. I am his grandson," replied Nayeon.

"We have to carry out the operation immediately"

"Doctors do whatever it takes to save my grandmother" asked Nayeon who gave the doctor a pleading look.

"Okay..you can pay off the payment first after that we will do the surgery procedure immediately" explained the doctor who stepped away from them.

"Where are you going.. may i come with you?" asked jihyo who was worried about nayeon.

Jihyo had a little hesitation but she finally agreed to Nayeon's request, Nayeon went home she immediately went into the room and looked for a the jar where he kept the money.

Nayeon then opened it The money is there.

"This is far from enough." Nayeon counted her savings and frustrated her.

"I'll look in Jaehyun's room." Nayeon walked quickly to her brother room and looked for a place to store her money.

She managed to find a brown envelope containing money, Nayeon then counted it again. But the number was still far from enough.

Nayeon was desperate, she was confused about where else she should go. raise money. Nayeon decided to borrow it from a neighbor.

She went to their house one by one but no one wanted to borrow it. Nayeon tried not to lose her fate and went to the market.

"Uncle... can I borrow your money.. my grandmother is sick and we have no money"

"Aunt... can you help me.. me I need money...can i borrow it?"Those are the things that Nayeon said to the merchants there.

But again they refused to give him. Nayeon returned home, but for her bad luck. His heart screamed, no one chose to be beside him.

His sadness was interrupted when his cellphone vibrated.

"Hello.. Jihyo-ah" called Nayeon in a hoarse voice. Jihyo screamed a little in panic.Nayeon quickly ran and stopped a taxi to take her to the hospital.
