Chapter 1

Reunion and Revelations- Part 1

After receiving a call from his mother and getting the permission for a leave from Prof Ceris , Ash set out to leave for his home town. Although still in the Kanto Region , the journey wasn’t any small. While traveling through Kanto , Ash started to remember the days he spent spent with Brock and Misty on these same roads all those years ago , which not only made him happy but also excited as this was one of those times where he was traveling alone , just with his pokémons. Ash being Ash did not miss out on any trainings as he battled many pokémons on his way , he was still in the world championship afterall.

Eventually after crossing Viridian forest and reaching Viridian City late at night , he made a call to his mom informing her that he’ll be arriving by the next day morning.
As he stayed in the pokémon centre for the rest of his night , he texted Serena about his current conditions and also told her about the supposed ‘Ketchum Family Secret’ which his mom is going to tell him and that he’s hyped to hear about it so that he can share it with Serena , she’s already a part of ketchum family by now and that’s a fact no one can change at this point in time.

The next day , Ash got ready and left for the rest of his journey before eventually reaching the outskirts of Pallet town. The journey uptill now was tiring as Ash also didn’t ate anything before leaving so that he can have a taste of the pasta his mom had ready for him at home.

“We Are Finally Here , Pikachu. Its Not Been That Much Time Since We Last Left But Still Whenever I Come Back Here , I Can’t Help But Feel A Nostalgic Emotion Running Throughout Me.”

“Pikachu.”

“You Think So Too Buddy ? We Have Same Choice Everywhere Don’t We.”

“Cha.”

Pikachu gave a warm smile as Ash was patting his head. Before reaching his home , Ash greeted all the people currently outside their own houses , as even they recognised him at first glance and were surprised to see him back early this time. As Ash knocked on the door , he was greeted by a man , almost the age of his mother , it didn’t took any long for him to realise that the person standing in front of him was none other than his dad. Ash was not able to process what he saw just yet , and in replied to Ash’s confused face , his dad gave him a hug.

“Dad , Is It Really You ? Is This Really Happening !?Where Were You All This Time?”

“Sorry Son , It Took Us This Much Time To Meet. As You Already Know , I Work At The Pokenations And Me Also Being The ‘First World Champion’ All Those Days Ago , Made Sure That I Have A Lot Of Work To Do To Maintain Peace And Other Stuff.”

The father son duo broke the hug , Ash was happy that he just didn’t want to let go of his dad just yet , but before he could think of doing anything , he was yet again hugged , this time by his mother.

“Ash !! I Am So Happy You Made It Here , Sorry For Not Telling You , We Wanted To Give You A Surprise Once You Reach Here.”

“Mom- I- Can’t Breat-.”

“Oops Sorry , I Was Excited As Our Family Getting A Full Reunion Today. Also Red ! What’s With You And Starting To Talk About Work As Soon As Ash Came Back. Atleast Let Him Feel Like Home At First.”
