Donald had just left the club meeting, caught up in a debate with one of his classmates he didn't know very well. The new boy had left some time earlier, mumbling about needing to go out for dinner or something. He was strange, but something about him enticed Donald. Maybe it was his shy demeanour, or his bright smile, or even just his voice. He could feel a familiar feeling set in the pit of his stomach, something he felt when pretty girls talked to him. panic started to set in him. All Donald knew now was that he was falling for Scott. Fast.
Not much later after he was caught staring, Scott made up an excuse to leave. It's not that he wasn't enjoying the club, watching Donald debate with various classmates he was unfamiliar with was more than enough entertainment. Scott always ended up drifting his gaze down to Donald's lips, he started to imagine what they'd feel like on his own untill he felt a blush creeping over his cheeks once again. Once he had successfully left and calmed down his thoughts Scott didn't know what to do, it's not like he had any friends to hang out with. So he decided to walk around the academy, maybe find a place to eat lunch that wasn't a toilet stall.
After a while of roaming the campus Scott finally struck gold, he'd found what he was looking for. A small spot under a flight of stairs that was not too far away from his classes but was closed off enough he wouldn't have to deal with any unwanted attention. He sat down, head pressed against the wall and thought about the events that had transpired In the last hour or so. He groaned in embarrassment, how could he be so stupid? Donald would never talk to him now, not that he had a chance anyway. He sat there for what seemed like hours, not even noticing the bell going off until a voice he recognised interrupted his daydreaming.Donald had just wanted to skip his next period and not think about the clusterfuck of emotions he was feeling about Scott right now, but apparently God had a different plan because when he got to his favourite spot to get away from the world, there was a boy.
There was Scott.
That same feeling of butterflies set in his stomach once again and he contemplated leaving but something in his mind told him to stay, so he did.
He wasn't sure what to say so he started with something simple, one word,
"Hey."
