Chapter 6 - Working With Halcyon

2012

Roselin, Updraft and Pathfinder raids a defense lab at Arizona named "Dawn Valley Lab". Their main objective was to destroy the lab, but Rose decided to hack one of their systems to get an intel on Project (REDACTED) files.

The mission was successful, they bombed the lab and escaped through their getaway van.

Jackdaw shows up before them and shoots a grenade launcher called "The Thumper" at the van, then he takes out a SMG called "S-97" which stopped its productions later. Jackdaw shoots Pathfinder and Updraft three times to make sure they're dead. As for Rose, he shot her two times to make it look real.

The police investigates the scene and arrests Rose. They unlawfully detained her in a government prison named "Wargate".

The Freelancer was out doing normal crimes like robbing from banks and things. He robbed a bank at Arizona and he was called by Wren, who wanted the Freelancer to go to a Police Station at Arizona and steal evidence of the Dawn Valley incident. The Freelancer successfully steals the evidence and escapes without being caught, well I guess?

The Freelancer is then hired by Halcyon and they're given a task to free Rose from Wargate. This mission was a success and they escape with Falcon, a getaway pilot working in Halcyon.

The same year, Rose is now a mission coordinator for The Freelancer and he is given a task to steal a gem from a bank in San Francisco where a thief sells the gem in an auction. The Freelancer successfully steals the gem but Rose told the Freelancer that he must not touch the money in there because its Halcyon's money.

2013

Wren constructs a newly-built Kill-house for the Freelancer's Stealth capabilities.  The objective was to steal artifacts from the gallery. The people like guards, civilians and guards are most likely to be Halcyon operatives, so the Freelancer could be shooting actual Halcyon Members in this mission. He successfully steals the artifacts.

Not gonna lie by the artifacts in the mission is literally wood blocks placing over one another. But hey, Wren worked hard on them.

The same year, Wren and Rose were almost assassinated by someone. It is unknown till date who the shooter was. 

2014

A group of hackers before stole unknown amount of information in Halcyon Servers, the same group again, decided to hack the servers. But this time they failed, they were located at a warehouse in New Jersey. A man named "Ryan Ross" owned this warehouse and was also an investor for the enemy organization.

The Freelancer was ordered to raid Ryan's Penthouse at New York. Apparently, Ryan is a very paranoid person to the point he has guards everywhere at his penthouse and also a well built panic room incase something bad happens. The Freelancer can either Extract Ryan from his home and kidnap him or kill him and escape. 

The Freelancer decided to not kill him, and decided to kidnap him. He is also asked to find a safe to find Ryan's Bank Records. He finds a wall safe and he finds a hard-drive. Which he takes and escapes from the penthouse.

The Freelancer was at San Diego, either for an operation or just for a day off trip. Rose also comes for this but the Freelancer didn't know this was a distraction for Jackdaw to meet the Freelancer. Jackdaw holds him/her at gunpoint and greets himself and wants The Freelancer to create a contact between The Director and him. He wants Halcyon to know that his own organization, "Phoenix" is after them. The Freelancer jokes about this for a bit and Jackdaw advises The Freelancer to leave before he is killed by Halcyon.

2015

From the hard-drive they got from Ryan, they found a Phoenix Stash in a bank at Cincinnati, Ohio called "Cincinnati Trust". He gets the Phoenix Stash along with a bag of cash which he got for himself. (LOL)

The Freelancer informs Rose that Wren told them about a critical mission. Rose doesn't feel too well during this conversation due to unknown reasons. She reveals that her name is Rachael at the end of this conversation.

From the Phoenix Stash, it lead to a Lakehouse at Michigan which was a Phoenix Safehouse. The Objective was to enter the safehouse and sneak into an abandoned lab in the basement of the Safehouse, he steals information about Project (0nyx). Steel Cove, the soldiers from Wargate heads to this safehouse for unknown reasons. He steals a server which contains details about Project (0nyx) and escapes through a boat at the Lakehouse dock.

Wren and The Freelancer goes to a forest in the middle of nowhere, Wren says its to bury a body but later reveals that Wren is there to assassinate the Freelancer because Halcyon found out that Rose was a double-agent and an informant for Phoenix. They compromised the squad for safety reasons. Before Wren kills the Freelancer, Jackdaw comes on time and shoots Wren, killing him. Jackdaw sends The Freelancer to a hospital for his recovery.
