Chapter 7 - Recruiting to Phoenix

2015

The Freelancer has recovered from his injuries and Jackdaw tells him to infiltrate a bank at San Francisco, the same bank The Freelancers infiltrated to steal a gem during an Auction. Jackdaw is untrusting of the Freelancer, he acts Harsh and cold towards the Freelancer during this mission. The objective is to steal Halcyon's money and take it for Phoenix to buy Firearms, Ammunition and some supplies. The Freelancer steals all of the cash and puts them in his van and drives away from the bank.

The Freelancer was sitting in a cabin in the middle of a forest, and when Jackdaw drives his van and parks it at the path, The Freelancer says that he wants to contact Rose, he knows that Rose could help Phoenix. Jackdaw says that he/she cannot do that. But The Freelancer insists in meeting her. Jackdaw reveals that Rose was a double agent and the best informant Phoenix had. Later shows the Freelancer Rachael's grave, where "there would be nice sunsets." The Freelancer blames Jackdaw for her death, later he/she joins Phoenix just to destroy Halcyon and every single member in it.

Jackdaw sends The Freelancer back to Cincinnati Trust, the same bank they robbed to get the Phoenix Stash. He infiltrated the bank to get Ryan's remaining cash since Ryan was kidnapped and Phoenix lost all contact With him after that. He gets access to the servers and Phoenix makes some transactions to the Phoenix bank account. But during this mission, a security company comes to the bank, one of them resets the alarms which were disabled by the Freelancer, while the other security just patrols around. 

2016

The Freelancer is sent to London, Ontario to invade a Halcyon Safehouse, a defecting scientist, Rivera, Or known by codename "Horizon" wants to give information about Project Onyx if they help her escape. They invade the Control Room where there is lots of information about Halcyon. Phoenix decides to invade the safehouse to get the information. All Halcyon operatives at the safehouse, and also Falcon, the getaway pilot at Wargate, is the head of security. Making him responsible for guarding the Safehouse. He dies during this mission along with other Halcyon operatives. Considered a success. 

2017

The Freelancer and Jackdaw is at a remote shed, where he tells him to make sure Halcyon doesn't find the Freelancer and that he must show loyalty in destroying Halcyon.

The Freelancer is sent to Toronto to infiltrate the CSIS (Canadian Security Intelligence Service) to find out information on Halcyon bunkers which was bought by the Canadian Government. They successfully get the information and exfiltrates with ease.

The Freelancer and Jackdaw are on a truck, planning to bomb the Halcyon Bunker and get revenge. They talk about when they met and all. They finally reached the Halcyon Bunker disguised as a military buyer. He gets his items from a ventilation part because no weapons and no items are allowed while entering the bunker. They successfully planted bombs around the bunker and escapes.....

The Freelancer says to Jackdaw that the mission is complete, but the Freelancer could not escape from the elevator because they shut it down. They couldn't override it either with their hacking skills because there was no time left. They both knew this would be a suicide mission. Jackdaw didn't want the Freelancer to die, after all this time... But the bombs exploded, killing the Freelancer. Jackdaw gets into Mason Wolfe's apartment room, where he picks up Rose's Raven, which was The Freelancer's weapon before. The Director talks with him for a bit and then tells him to shoot. Jackdaw shoots at him straight at the heart, and as the Director fell on the ground, shot him again on the head. Claiming victory of the Shadow War, a gunfight between Halcyon and Phoenix. 

Phoenix disbanded after this, as Phoenix was only based on for one thing, revenge. And they got it.
