Chapter 4

~Back in the Vampire World~

Sariba's heels clicked against the tiles of the Northern castle where she was looking for Mia. Usually she would've seen somebody by now. Mia, Logan, Andres, Harry, someone. But the castle seemed to be completely empty. It was eerily quiet and she could hear herself echoing against the walls.

Eventually she ran face first into someone while she wasn't paying attention. Andres got up with a groan and glared at the southern princess. "Sariba.." He groaned. Sariba winced in pain from the collision but decided it was best to tell the wolf why she was where she was. "Where's your sister.." She asked nicely, trying not to push buttons with the Peña who already and had always despised her. He rolled his eyes at her, but pointed her in the direction of his sister. Knowing that Javi was still extremely protective of her right now, he didn't want to warn her of how bad he was becoming. "Thank you.." she said with a nod and headed in that direction.

Mia and Javi were currently in their room kissing when a light knock sounded on their door. Javi groaned in frustration from the interruption while Mia answered the door. "Sariba..?" Mia asked with concern. Sariba lightly smiled at her friend, and then looked over at Javi with narrowed eyes. "Why is it that every time I'm here.. you try to fuck her?" Sariba hissed at her old friend. Javi rolled his eyes but left the two girls alone.

"'Mia.. we have an issue.." Sariba said once the wolf was out of the room. The two sat on the edge of the bed. Mia looked at her with worried eyes, not knowing what it could possibly be. She knew that the Queen with with Sariba's cousin, so that couldn't be it. "What's the matter Sariba?" Mia asked with her eyes narrowed. She either believed that Sariba did something to hurt her family again, or worse. 

Sariba looked at her friend with wide eyes, having a feeling of what she is thinking. "It wasn't me.. you know your son's current girlfriend, Lauren?" Sariba quizzed Mia. Mia nodded her head in acknowledgment. She didn't like how toxic Keaton & Lauren's relationship was, and it was solely on Laurens end. Keaton tried so hard to be the perfect fiancé to her, but she constantly put him down. "Well, it turns out that her brothers are looking for her. They trespassed on Griffin's property this morning. Apparently they are betrothed." Sariba hissed. Mia looked at her friend wide eyed. "So what do we do?" Mia asked.

Sariba sighed, and told her of everything that happened, and the conversation she had with the 3 Australian boys. How they wanted access to the vampire world to ind their sister, but the Queen and Sariba both refused this to them. How she had told them that they would have to find Lauren themselves, and Jai tried to attack her, causing Carter to be protective. They decided it would be best to tell Keaton, and have Lauren banned from the vampire world for all of their safety. 

Little did Mia know, that Sariba was hiding a huge secret of her own. The baby she mentioned to her cousins that she was pregnant with? It wasn't Klaus'. You see, monsters only have one true mate, and they will always be attracted to that mate. Despite Sariba & Carlos pretending that they hated each other, so their new relationships didn't realize.. they couldn't stop the attraction to one another. Sariba didn't want anyone to know of what was going on between her & Carlos.. because she was afraid that her siblings would hate her.. and she feared for her mates safety. He was married to a Scrubban after all.
