I was chilling in my brother's office reading. "Debra." Ben said. "Yes, your Majesty." Debra said, through the phone. "Can you ask Lumiere to call me regarding Cotillion?" Ben asked. "Yes, sir." Debra replied. "Thank you." Ben said, hanging up. Someone then knocked on the door. I looked up from my book to see Evie.

"Ben. Brooklyn." She said, closing the door behind her. "Evie? Come on in." Ben said, standing up from his desk. I set my book on the coffee table as I also stood up. "Mal's gone back to the Isle." Evie said. Ben and I shared shocked looks.

"What do you mean, Mal went back to the Isle?" I asked. Evie signed, walking over and handing a note to Ben. Ben quickly read it over. "Ben..." Evie signed again, holding up Ben's ring he gave Mal. I quietly gasped. Did something happen between them? Ben took the ring, before crumbling up the paper.

"This is my fault. This is my fault. I blew it. She'd been under so much pressure lately and instead of being understanding, I just went all beast on her." Ben said. "You what? How could you do that? She was trying to fit in! And she was doing it all for you!" I shouted. "I know, you don't have to make me feel any worse than I already do!" Ben shouted back.

He then let out a shaky breath. "I have to go there and apologize. I have to go there and beg her to come back." He said. "Ben, you'll never find her. You need to know the Isle and how it works, and...you have to take me with you." Evie sighed.

"Yes." Ben nodded. "Uh, E...are you sure?" I asked, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Yeah." She nodded, giving me a small smile. "She's my best friend. And we'll bring the boys, too, because there is safety in numbers and none of us is really too popular over there right now." She said. "Thank you." Ben said.

"But let's get two things straight. You have to promise me that I won't get stuck there again." Evie said. "Promise." Ben and I nodded. "And there's no way you two are going looking like that." She said. "Whoa, wait. Brooklyn's not going." Ben said. I scoffed. "I'm sorry? Why not?" I asked, crossing my arms over my chest.

"It's the Isle, Brooklyn." he sighed. "So? You get to go and a rock could beat you in a fight." I argued. "The answer is no, and that's final." he said, pointing a stern finger at me. "Well, last I checked, you couldn't do anything without my permission. So...if you want to go, you either take me with you...or I can go straight to mom, dad and Fairy Godmother." I said, glaring at my brother. Ben huffed, rolling his eyes. "Fine, whatever." he said. "Yay!" I cheered, clapping my hands.
