Today is Independence day for India. The country of my homeland. Which holds a lot of memories. Good as well as bad.
Well, though it is independence day, there is not much celebration going on here. Normally nothing really happens here. If I was at school we would have chances to wear any Indian ethnic clothes which were kind of fun. But I am no longer a school student.
I have grown up, surprisingly.
Any day now and I am going to college to pursue my dream course. I hope I get what I want without making any sacrifices or such. We are living in a world where one must give up on one thing to get the other. But I am sick of it. Literally, very sick of it. Tired as well. Isn't it high time something good happens to everyone? Though we wouldn't have gotten this independence if it wasn't for the sacrifices our freedom fighters have taken.
I know the circumstances are different. But I just... don't really understand why. Why we should give up one thing to get the other? And is it really worth it?
Worth all the struggles? Maybe.
With that note, I will take my leave.
