Chapter 8 (part 1)

Derek's pov 

Me and mer started to walk to my car and hop in. I started to drive to a near by flower field while Meredith was looking out the window trying to guess where we were going.

"Please just tell me where we're goinggg" Meredith pleaded

"No it's a surprise" I replied with a huge grin on my face

"Ugh but I hate surprises" Meredith said whining

"Well to bad because it's a SURPRISE" I said as I emphasised the word surprise

Meredith just rolled her eyes and looked out her window once again.

Meredith pov

I was looking out my window when I saw a field of daisy's I immediately turned my head to Derek with my mouth open wide.

"Are we having our date here!?" I ask while bouncing in my seat

"Yes we are" Derek said while turning off the car. I jumped out of the car and ran over to all the flowers spinning when I reached them.

"Mer come over here I need to show you something!" Derek yelled so that I could hear

"Yea I'm coming just give me a sec" I said while grabbing a hand full of flowers

"I don't your suppose to do that" derek slightly giggled saying that

"Whatever there pretty and I wanted some" I just shrugged off what he had said

"Ok well come over here and look at this" he said waving me over

Derek pov

I was waving her over to the little picnic i had set up a few hours before getting meredith. there was candles and different kinds of flower petals on the red and white picnic blanket lying in front of me. she had started to walk over towards me when she started to spot the little set up.

"omg derek its so beautiful, how did you have time to set this all up?"

"i did it before i came to pick you up of course, come sit let's get this started"

she came over and sat down. i opened the basket and took out a bottle on wine, some glasses and the food. for food we had some cheese n crackers, fruits for some snacks for the main food we had potato salad and chicken.

"wow derek this all looks so good"

"thanks i was hoping that you would like it" 

"like it i love it" she says with a huge smile on her face 

all i do is stare back at her looking deep into her eyes until she looks down into her lap. 

"are you hungry?" i ask

"yea a little"

"ok then lets start eating"

"ok"

we start eating while making small talk and getting to know each other a bit more. ive learnt that her favourite color is lilac, she likes joes (the bar) and has two bestfriends cristina and alex. 

it was about 11:00 pm and we were packing up the picnic. after we finished we hopped in the car and i started driving back to the university until...

hey guys im so so sooo sorry for not upatding in awhile i guess i just havent had the motivation to write anything lately. but i promise im going to try and write more often.
