Song: Tory Lanez - The Color Violet (slowed + reverb)

JosieThere's been countless times in my life where I'd felt the need to cry.
And right now, I wanted nothing more than to drop to my knees in this elegant ballroom, and sob my eyes out as the people around me began to sing happy birthday.
But I couldn't. Not when the man I loved was walking away from me after admitting something so heartbreaking.
I push past the dramatics, wipe at my tears and hurry after him, yet my heart remains heavy.
I attempt to catch up to Nico, but he'd slipped out of the ballroom and was now no where to be found.
I make it back into the main area and glance around at the multiple hallways that lead down various corridors. He could be anywhere.
But one single glance up to the older lady sitting behind the reception desk, tells me I don't need to search far for the next thing I know, she's pointing to the hallway on my left a knowing look on her face.
I send her a nervous smile and move down the dramatically carved hallway, up a set of stairs. Only catching sight of Nico who's about to round a far corner.
I call after him immediately. "Nico!"
He stops, the tension clear in his body language as his shoulders straighten before he slowly turns around. "Go back to the ballroom and wait for me." He speaks calmly. "It's not safe."
And while I'd listen to him any other day, I couldn't sit in a room filled with strangers while he went after Daniel.
Besides, if his relationship with Alessio was anything to go by, then the Italians couldn't be that bad and if they were, then I'd feel safer with him. "Why isn't it safe?"
He stares at me a moment before pulling out his phone and diverting his attention to it.
I nervously wait a moment before I can't help but ask. "What are you doing?"
He doesn't look up as he continues to type away on his phone. I watch him wet his lower lip. "Googling if it's common for people to lose brain function after getting grazed by a bullet."
I blink then realize he's essentially insulting me while I'm here worried out of my mind. "I'm being serious, Nico. I don't feel safe in that room with all those people." I mutter asI stomp forward, snatch his phone and glare down at where he's sending a text to Sammy.
Alza il culo e qui tra cinque.
La voglio fuori di qui.(Italian| Get your ass up and here in five. I
want her out of here.)I can't fully make out the translation which tells me that's he's texted in Italian. My annoyance spikes. "What does it say?" I demand.
"He's ordering me a pizza." He responds flatly yet I can't detect any humour. "I'm telling him what I want on it."
I study his serious face, yet for some reason I can't believe him. "Liar,"
