Hey, everyone! This is the second chapter of the book. Today we're going to pay more attention on Katherine's point of view.

Katherine's POV (the only POV in this chapter)
After I finished making out with Elena, I go to take a shower. Now, I'm smiling remembering the taste of her lips. It was amazing. The warm water runs down my shoulders, as I start brushing my body with the sponge. I am glad I get to use my doppelgänger for a bit. Of course I don't love her. I can't, however, deny the fact that she is beyond hot. She looks exactly like me after all. That is why it's so fun. Actually, you are probably confused right now. I guess I would have to start from the beginning, two weeks early.

It was 20th July. Stefan had been missing for nearly a month and I started to worry about him. Probably you all think I'm a cold-hearted bitch, and you're right. That is not true when it comes to Stefan, howbeit. I had to find a way to help him. It would have been pointless to just go after him, especially when he was with Klaus. It would have been the most stupid thing to literally go to my enemy who is looking for me. Besides, Stefan wouldn't have turned on his humanity because of me. He hates me. I had to find something to use to trigger his emotions, or otherwise I would have been doomed.

Maybe something... or maybe someone? Yes, I finally came up with a plan. I just needed to steal a car and go on a road trip. Before I did that I had to ensure that Stefan's humanity trigger was with me. Elena. As much as I hated to admit it, he loves Elena more than anything else. And it wasn't like my stupid doppelgänger didn't want to find her significant other. Ugh, I wanted to throw up.

I would write Elena a letter, and invite her to come by Wickery Bridge tonight. It was the perfect idea. I would scare her a little at first, and then I would offer her a deal. If she denies to come, however, I would drag her in the car myself. I was sure nothing could go wrong.

I took the note and approached the Gilbert house. It was quiet and I thought no one was home when I saw Elena's open window. As I raised my hand to throw the note, some tall brunette girl stopped me:
"Elena? What are you doing?" I didn't know what to say, so I just put on a fake smile.
"Hey... um... well..." I stammered. "I dropped this very important piece of paper through the window, so I went down to the street to pick it up." I added, trying to copy Elena's voice, when I finally thought of something to say.
"Really? It doesn't seem very important to me..." that little twit didn't give up.
"Who are you and why do you keep asking questions?" I raised my voice angrily.
"Um... I'm Madelyn. We've been friends since forever!" she laughed, thinking I was just joking.
"I'm Katherine and it's not very nice to meet you." I revealed myself, showing my fangs and vamping towards her.
"Elena!? What's going on?" she was beyond scared.
"When I leave, forget everything that happened here until I say you can remember." I compelled her. Then, I threw the note, and left with my vamp speed.

I hated Elena's friends always confusing me for her. Even my hairstyle was different. Now, however, at least Elena got the note. I didn't do anything special in the afternoon, so I'll skip directly to the night we saw each other by the bridge.

It was 11:45 pm. 15 minutes left I thought. Elena, howbeit, was nowhere to be found. I had checked at her house, compelling her brother to tell me where she was. Jeremy had told me that his sister had gone to the grill. This must have been a lie. Elena was not supposed to tell anyone about the note after all.

Still, I checked at the grill just to make sure that she wasn't there. As I entered a few of Elena's friends confused me for her again. I was right that Elena wasn't there. I saw that Madelyn girl from earlier though. She was with her boyfriend. I had an idea. I waited for Elena's friend to go to the toilet. While she was washing her hands at the sink, I showed up behind her, so that she could see me in the mirror in front of her.
"Elena?"
"Oh God! Not again!" I was furious. I grabbed her and looked her into the eyes. "Remember." I compelled her. Her face gradually changed.
"Let me go! Let me go! Please, I won't tell anyone!" she panicked and started screaming.
"Come with me and I won't hurt you. Tell your boyfriend that your friend Elena is here and you want to spend some time with her." I didn't compel her now. She was scared enough to convince her boyfriend that.

I stayed outside of the grill while she was telling that to her boyfriend. I listened carefully to every single word she said.
"It's done..." she was looking at the ground.
"Come here!" I ordered her, grabbing her arm, so she couldn't move.

After that, we went to Wickery Bridge. When it was finally 12:00 am, I thought that my doppelgänger wouldn't come. Maybe pure Elena Gilbert was too scared.

Suddenly, I heard footsteps with my enhanced hearing. The steps were approaching the bridge. Soon after, I saw a silhouette in the darkness. It slowly stepped into the light of the street lamps, and I was able to see its face. Or must I say, my face. It was Elena freaking Gilbert. My face took on a sinister smile. Well, at least I tried to look ominously, I don't know how it actually looked.
"It's nice to see you... Elena." I emphasised on her name.
"You?" Elena said that in a cold voice.
"Who else could it be?" I grinned.
"Was that all just a stupid lie!?" she asked furiously.
"What's going on here!? Who are you both!?" Madelyn saw how we looked exactly the same and panicked even more.
"Katherine, why would you bring my friend here?!" Elena shouted at me.
"Relax. And just for the record, it wasn't a lie. I have an offer for you which you would like to hear." I explained.
"Okay, then. What is it?" she said impatiently.
"First of all, you don't give orders to me. I will tell you when I decide that I want to."
"I don't have time for your stupid games!"
"Ughhhh, fine. Tomorrow I'm going after Stefan. He is currently in Memphis. I know because Klaus called me yesterday to check up on me. This stupid hybrid. I compelled a police officer to track the call and that's how I know." I told my doppelgänger everything about my plan.
"I don't trust you! And I'm definitely not coming with you!" she exclaimed.
"Really?" I pushed Madelyn with all my strength and she fell on the ground.
"Please don't hurt me! I'll do anything, I promise!" she whimpered as her tears went down her face.
"Katherine, stop it!" Elena intervened.
"You either come with me or I can assure you that your friend won't come out of this alive." I threatened. Then I showed my vampire face and Madelyn screamed loudly, trying to get up. Before she could go anywhere, I sat onto her and demonstratively licked her neck.
"Let her go!" my doppelgänger tried to order me desperately.
"I will, once you agree to my offer." I gritted my  teeth.
"Please don't kill me!" the brunette girl cried.
"I'm sorry but it looks like your friend Elena doesn't want to save you." I pushed her hair away and sank my teeth into her neck. She screamed at the top of her voice. I heard that and started drinking her blood. It flowed down the street. When Elena saw that she couldn't deny anymore.
"Okay, I will come with you! Just don't kill her!" she finally agreed. I slowly pulled my fangs out of Madelyn's neck, and licked the blood from her chest.
"Took longer than I expected, but here it is." I said, as I was slowly getting up. "You have three hours to take your stuff and get ready. Come here and I'll take you with the car I stole today." I boasted.

I promise you that from now on there will be a lot more Kelena scenes. In the next chapter the two girls will take off and many interesting things will be happening. See you soon!
