Spencer's P.O.V

Well, it's time to head to the airport to pick up Carrie. I grab my car keys and walk out of my apartment. I head downstairs, walk outside and walk to my car. I start my car and take a deep breath. I can't believe she is visiting me and is about to meet the team. I drive to the airport in hopes I make it by the time her plane lands. I park at the airport and check the time. I see that I still have twenty minutes before her plane lands. I take out my cell phone and text Hotch that I am at the airport waiting for Carrie's plane to land. I get out of my car and head inside so it would just be easier to find Carrie. I look out the window and see the plane land. I start getting nervous but I don't know why. I guess its because I just want everything to go smoothly. I look as everyone starts coming from the plane and heading towards luggage claim. I see Carrie and wave, hoping she sees my hand. I see her look at me and smile. She walks to me and engulfs me in a hug. I hug her back and smile. I grab her luggage and walk with her to my car.

"I'm really happy that you came. But I'm also really nervous about you meeting the team." I said to her.

               "Why? Are they....mean?" She asked.

"No they're not mean. They'll love you. I'm only nervous because Hotch can be a hard ass. But he'll warm up to you. As for the rest of the team, they'll bombard you with questions. I just want everything to go smoothly. I don't want them to scare you off," I say as I put her stuff in the trunk of my car.

"I'm sure everything will go well Spencer. You know sometimes you worry too much. You're overthinking. You're overanalyzing the situation. Just relax. What will be will be," Carrie said.

I nod and open her car door for her. She gets in and smiles at me. I smile and close her door. I walk to the other side of the car and get in. I start the car and head to the BAU. I keep glancing over to Carrie just to see how she was acting. She was playing with her hands specifically her ring finger which had a small ring on it. She's breathing slightly heavier than she was before she got in the car but she wasn't hyperventilating. It seems like she needs to take her own advice but I don't blame her for being nervous. She has an interview with the FBI. I park in the parking lot and look at Carrie.

"We're here. Are you okay?" I ask her. She looks at me and nods. I get out and open her door. She gets out and smiles at me.

"Do I look okay? Do you think I dressed professional enough?" She asked.

"I think you look beautiful," I said and saw her blush a little at my words. She looked at the BAU building and took a deep breath. We begin to walk inside and went to the elevator. The elevator doors open and we walked into the office area. I saw Derek and Elle look up at her. She looked back and gave them a slight smile. She walked up to Hotch's office and knocked. Hotch opened his door and let her in. I sat down at my desk to find Derek looking at me.

"Reid, who was she?" He asked. I knew her name but I didn't know what we really were. Best friends? Friends? More than that?

"She's a friend. I met her on one of our previous cases and we kept in touch." I responded.

"A victim? Reid you know that's a bad idea. And you know you shouldn't be going out with a victim knowing Hotch is really strict about that." Derek said.

"Not a victim. She was in the bookstore in Tampa right before we left. We were reaching for the same book." I said.

Derek looks at him. "Is that who you have been talking to for the last couple of months? The one who's been making you happy?"

I nod at him and smile. I look up at Hotch's office. I start getting nervous when I see that the blinds are closed. Elle stands up and goes over to JJ. I can see that it's starting and now everyone is going to start asking questions about her.
