Dead Chapter 16 - _Infiltration_

Time is important. Specially now, napansin ko na may mali kay Roi, i asked my dad about it.

"The stone kept him from completely rotting".

Which means, habang tumatagal na wala sa kanya yung stone na yon, tuluyan nang mabubulok yung katawan ni Roi ...

Whatever happens i know that i will always find a way. I may not be smart but i know, if i have hope, there is.

"Tine, you are not thinking about it right? Seriously?", Dad asked me with a very anxious expression. I can see in his eyes how worried he is for me but i am worried for my friend as well.

"Alam ko naman na alam mo kung saan nila dadalhin yung bato na yun eh, please, just this time, trust me on it." I begged and my eyes flowed with tears that i, myself am shock, why am i crying?

Dapat hindi ako malungkot or whatever man na negative. I will find a way.

"Tito, i know Tine's suggestion is insane but i think it's the most efficient way." Flora plead as well.

at first, dad was anxious about this and i know it, i can see his eye brows frowning.

"I can join them," uncle volunteered.

Uncle was also a part of the project before and he was also the last person to leave the group. And luckily he knows where the nearest branch of that organization in our town.

A plan? Yes. I have never had the slightest clue na napakagaling pala ni Flora pagdating sa strategies. Yes, yes , we've been childhood friends but i really don't know ..

Sino ba namang magaakala na sa mismong Museum yung secret base nila?

We have to pretend as normal students visiting the museum.. hopefully walang makapansin samin.

And yeah! Dun ako magaling. Yung tipong wala talagang nakakapansin sakin.

I dunno but i guess i have a zero presence.

We planned everything up, where to go, what to look at and how to get inside the restricted area. And Flora and I got there without getting noticed.

Habang naglalakad kami sa hallway i just realized how desperate i am on saving Roi, i mean, i can actually get hurt from this or even die for instance. Bakit ko nga ba to ginagawa? I just can't bear to think na gigising ako tuwing umaga na wala na sya. Hindi ko matanggap.

Love. What is love? A very tricky question and yet it has a broad spectrum of answers depending on the person. Parang sa parents, unconditional love. Love can hurt you, but it can also heal you. Love? It is something that gave me what it feels like to be somehow, normal. And now, it gave me strength to do unimaginable things that i never imagined i'm capable of. Ang corny ko no? Pero sersyoso ako.

Last doon on the left. Doon daw yung staircase papuntang basement.

Tumingin sakin si Flora na halatang natatakot at kinakabahan sa kung ano man ang mangyari pagbaba namin. Ang weird lang. Ako yung laging matatakutin sa ganitong bagay pero wala akong madetect na takot sa kahit anong parte ng pagkatao ko.

Bumaba kami ng dahan dahan. Buti hindi ganon kadami yung tao ng organisasyon na yun at hindi kami nahirapan makapasok.

"Anong ginagawa nyo dito?", a female voice said. Nagulat kaming lahat. Hindi ko alam kung anong gagawin kung sakaling mahuli nila kami..

"Teresa?", sabi ni tito na para bang kilala nya yung babaeng naka-lab gown sa gilid namin.

Mukhang nagulat din sya nang makita nya si tito.

"Kilala mo ba sya?", Flora asked uncle since we are not sure if this is a reunion between the two or not.

Tumingin samin si uncle.

"Oo, kasama namjn sya dati na umalis pero wala akong idea na bumalik na pala sya sa ganitong trabaho." Uncle said with disgust.

"Don't think of me like that Thomas, it's not like you never wanted to work here, isa ka nga sa mga manghang mangha sa ginawa natin dati." She said.

I don't know what to feel nor do i know whay she really meant. Is it the stone? Or the fact that they made Roi into something not human.

But whatever.

I need to get the stone back.

"If you're here to stop us. You have to kill us first." Saan nanggaling yun? bakit ko sinabi yun. Shit. Baka patayin kami neto ng dahil sa bibig ko.

Napatingin nalang sakin si Flora.

"No. I won't kill a person unlike that guy beside you. I'm just here for the money. Not loyal as well." She smirked."i won't bother about the stone, i'm here for something better". Then she walked away.

Wait.

Did she just said that uncle was the one who killed Roi?

But. Why?

And what is that 'something better' ?
