Chris woke with a start as the words "Tell me you don't love me" in Street's voice echoed in her mind.
Even though it was a painful memory of Street begging her to be honest about her feelings for him, while standing in the HQ parking lot of all places, she was somewhat thankful that it wasn't fading away. Her mind was letting her keep the painful moment.
In this memory, she had said that she didn't quit SWAT for him, so she started to wonder when this argument took place. It was another question to add to her ever-growing list.
She pulled the duvet away to get out of bed and found her phone. Pressing on the screen, she realized it was out of battery. Last night came flooding back, and she realized that she had fallen asleep while on the phone with Street, and she hoped he wasn't upset about it.
It seemed she owed him an apology for falling asleep last night and for the argument she remembered.

"Hey, Street," she said to the back of his head as she entered the packed locker room.
He spun around with a smile on his face, that immediately put her at ease. It was a stark contrast from the pained expression he was wearing in that fight she remembered them having.
"Good morning to you, too, Chris," Tan said sarcastically as she walked past him like he wasn't even there.
She held out a coffee cup for Street to accept.
"For me?" Street asked, completely stunned.
She nodded and replied, "I think I got your coffee order right."
"Thanks," he said gratefully. Touched by the gesture.
"I'm sorry about last night. I didn't mean to fall asleep on you," she apologized.
"It was a long day. I get it," he honestly replied.
That's when he saw it, the smallest glint in her eye, the most minuscule glimmer. But it was enough that Street couldn't look away, and she didn't seem to want to break their eye contact either.
20 Squad all exchanged looks as they observed the interaction between the couple. Chris finally felt the other eyes on her and cleared her throat. "Actually, can I talk to you...alone?" She asked.
He nodded, shut his locker door, and started following her to the exit of the locker room.
"Please remember interrogation rooms have two-way mirrors!" Luca reminded.
"And lock the door this time," Tan pleaded.
Just outside the locker room, Chris stopped Street and asked, "Wait...do they think we're about to hook up or something?"
He bit his lip.
"Have we...do we...at work?" She tried to ask while starting to feel quite nervous.
He nodded his head and grinned slyly.
She shifted her weight onto her other leg and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.
"Since that's not what's on your mind right now, what did you want to talk about?" He asked, clearly clueless of his effect on her.
She scanned the area to find a spot that would allow for some privacy. The armory caught her eye, so she headed in that direction. After a few steps, she checked to make sure Street knew to follow, and there he was right on her heels. Grateful that he understood her even without words, she made her way into the armory.
When she turned to see Street's expression, she asked, "Is something wrong?"
"No," he replied simply.
