Luz's POV: 

Amity wanted to head back to her home. So that's what we did, although she was holding my arm and put her face on my shoulder the whole time we were walking. Finally we had reached Amity's house. 

Amity's POV:

I was scared too go inside, what would mom say? I couldn't let her say what she said the other night in front of Luz, but it looked like I had no choice. Before Luz could knock on the door, Edric and Emira answered, ''Listen we tried our best, but she made us spill the truth, we're sorry mittens.'' Emira said. ''Good luck dealing with mom.'' Edric said. Oh no, what am I gonna do?

Before I knew it, my mom came to the door. ''Amity Blight, do you mind explaining what you were doing? And I thought I told you to break up with this girl?'' I started to burst into tears. Luz looked at me with an angry expression. She turned to my mom and said ''Don't talk to her like that!'' I thought she would say something else, but this was Luz.

Luz's POV:

Who does she think she is, controlling Amity like that. No wonder why Amity was sad. ''Let her do what she wants to do!'' I yelled ''Quiet, brat.'' ''Don't talk to her like that!'' Amity stepped in front of me. ''Amity-'' ''You've been controlling my life, you've been treating me like a stray dog! I want it to stop, so that's why I'm leaving!'' ''Amity- What are you saying?'' ''I'm going to live with Luz!'' She yelled. Edric and Emira came in to the room, they looked at each other and nodded, they both went back up stairs.

Amity kept yelling at her mom, suddenly I saw the blight twins telling me to follow them. I snuck past the two and followed Edric and Emira. ''Come on, help us pack Amity's stuff!'' I started grabbing Amity's things and threw them in a bag. After we finished, I heard Amity yell my name. I grabbed Amity's bag and ran down stairs. ''Goodbye mom.'' Amity yelled
