She wasn't responding. Chan glared at the message he had sent Yura only 5 minutes ago, and groaned at the "delivered" written under it. Though what did he really expect? Clearly not the situation before him because he immediately resorted to calling the girl.

One ring

Two rings

Three rings

"What do you want?" It was one of the coldest sentences she could have given him but Chan couldn't be more overjoyed. He was nervous, sure, but he had already gotten past the first of many obstacles, a win is a win he supposed.

"Can you meet me at *** park? The one a block from your apartment."

"Literally why would I?"

"Please Yura or else I'll release every single one of your cursed pictures."

She scoffed. "I'm literally safe I don't know what you're getting at."

"New years eve 2017."

"I'm on my way." She hung up the call.

Yes, he had to resort to blackmail, but it was worth it. Like coups said, if he wasn't going to do this, no one would.

. . .

"Hey." Chan was met with Yura's cold expression. She was still angry but at least had come around to meet him, that was sufficient for the boy.

"Can you please wipe that adorable smile off your face, you're making me feel bad." Yura hadn't stare at him one time during the sentence but could still tell that Chan had actually concealed his smile. She felt horrible.

The girl silently sat herself down, refusing to look at Chan. She knew that if she did, she'd break down right then and there. Which wasn't a bad thing in reality but Yura's mind wasn't quite on the same track.

"I um..." Yura's head shot towards Chan as he spoke, almost in a paranoid fashion.

"Thanks for um, coming." She looked towards the idol as he spoke with his head down and eyes to the ground. Being there with him and seeing his unnecessary guilt finally made everything click for Yura. It had truly processed days earlier but it was only now that she admitted it.

He suddenly and abruptly turned towards the girl next to him.

"I'm sorry about the other day I-"

"No. Please don't apologize I was being irrational-"

"You weren't I was just-" Yura covered the timid boy's mouth, preventing him from speaking any further.

Before Chan had any time to react, Yura threw herself on him in a hug. She didn't exactly know what she was doing, but it felt nice to be in his arms again as if nothing had ever happened at all.

Chan hesitated but gladly and happily accepted the hug. He wanted them to be like before, stuck to the hip, inseparable, always supporting. And well, he was willing to risk his feelings for it. If it meant he could continue being present in Yura's hectic life, he'd do anything.

"Friends?" The two were now facing each other as Yura broke the hug, but still, she held on to his shoulders.

"Yeah um, friends."

. . .

It was a day like any other however life finally seemed to be going better for Yura. Nothing was rocky, nothing was uncertain. Everything was as it should be.
