Louis' Point of View

"Mr. Tomlinson, Mr. Malik, glad you could be bothered to join us. Take your seats please," Miss I-don't-even-know-her-name greeted sarcastically. I rolled my eyes but went to sit down nonetheless, making sure to take my time getting to my seat just to piss her off. Zayn glared at her and sat down next to me, immediately pulling his phone out and starting up a game of Temple Run. I didn't bother paying attention to whatever the teacher was saying because, I mean come on, his game is fucking intense.

"Mr. Malik! Mr. Tomlinson! Put the phone away and for once, pay attention," Whatever-her-name-is practically begged.

"No can do. I'm about to beat my high score," Zayn replied distractedly, tongue poking out of the side of his mouth from the amount of concentration he seemed to be using. I simply ignored her and continued staring at the screen. I think it's more important that I bear witness to the monumental moment that was about to go down instead of whatever it was she was blathering on about anyways. Besides, I hardly ever speak in public & she knows that. The only people I've ever fully relaxed and been myself around were Zayn, Harry, and my dad. Years of being told you're 'too loud' and that you 'need to shut up more often' tend to do that.

She stared at us wide-eyed for a moment before clearing her throat and going back to whatever it was she was doing. As usual. People give up way too easily.

I leaned in close to Zayn after a second and whispered, "I'm seriously bored and desperately craving a smoke. Wanna just skip?" Zayn paused his game and looked up at me, shoving his phone in his pocket then nodding his head.

"Might as well. I need absolute concentration anyways, and at least we bothered showing up today."

We both stood up, ignoring the teacher's angry protests to 'get back in here and learn something' as we made our way out of the classroom. I pulled out my phone and texted Harry, informing him of the change of plans, when the bell rang, and suddenly the halls were flooded with annoying students.

He shortly fell in step with us as we sauntered down the hall side by side by side. Zayn and Harry held their heads up high and pasted on their trademark glares, enjoying every single look of fear they received from the people who pinned themselves against their lockers in order to keep as much distance as possible from us while I simply stared straight ahead with a blank face, fists tightly clenched by my sides.

Surprisingly, or not so surprisingly, people feared me. Probably due to the fact that my face and attitude intimidate people effortlessly and I tend to scowl at anything and everything.

"I was thinking we could go to mine?" Harry suggested as we all piled into his car again.

"Sure." I shrugged as I reached for Zayn's jacket pocket, swiftly grabbing his half-empty packet of smokes. I picked one out and placed the tip between my parted lips as Zayn grunted his agreement, eyes glued to his phone.

Harry sped out of the parking lot, tires skidding loudly on the gravel as he turned up the volume of the music to an almost unbearable level.

Not even the nicotine could ease my taut shoulders.

"Want some?" Zayn breathed out, causing the smoke he had just inhaled to fan out all over me.

The three of us were currently hanging out in Harry's room with him slouched on the desk chair, me laying on the floor, and Harry on his bed. My nose scrunched up at the smell and I pursed my lips, shaking my head furiously.
