Bill basically lived in the bookshop now. That's it, that's all there is to it.
It's been about 3 months since Dipper was recruited, and if he's being honest, it's been actually really neat!
Not much in his life has changed besides Bill having daily meetings in his place, sleeping on his couch at least 4 times a week, and other members of the Bill's gang coming over for a smoke or a drink occasionally.
Dipper was quite happy to receive the extra company, especially when they brought him gifts!
Any time Pyronica visited she brought him she brought him a pastry from a bakery down the street. Dipper loved it whenever she visited! She reminded him of her sister, whom was off in Los Angeles trying to see if she could start a clothing line. Pyronica made good conversation, and had even kicked a couple of rowdy kids out of the shop a couple of times. She told him about her Aunt in New York who was a professional dancer, apparently she provided outfits and funds for Bill's gang. Pyronica said she visits every year, and Dipper was quite looking forward to meeting this woman.
Bill's company was a little stranger. Dipper had grown more comfortable with the man, so there was less mumbling and way more eye contact. Bill sometimes brought over roses whenever Dipper's vase seemed to be empty. Often times after Bill would sleep on the sofa after any meetings ran late. He was quite helpful cleaning up the shop in the morning, and had even become quite a annoyance during working hours.
Dipper had found out that Bill was quite a touchy person, and had to touch literally everything, including Dipper. So whenever Bill sat behind Dipper's sale counter, as he usually did with a shot glass and a bottle of whiskey, he'd always have his hand on Dipper's back, leg, hand, or literally any part of his body. Dipper would look back at Bill sometimes, Bill didn't even seem like he knew what he was doing.
It was a casual Wednesday afternoon, the bookshop was at it's usual emptiness. Pyronica was reading one of the romance novels Dipper had in the back. Dipper was writing down and checking orders and purchase people had made, Bill's hand was on Dipper's thigh and he was reading today's paper. Soft voices sprung from Dipper's radio on his shelf.
Bill lets out a loud snort, making both Pyronica and Dipper jump about a foot out of their chairs. "Geez Bill that was sudden" Pyronica said as she retuned to her book. "Seriously, that was uncalled for!" Dipper said as he smacked Bill's arm that was on his thigh. Bill let out a laugh, "Sorry, it's just that one of Tad's girls is hosting a party!" Bill let out a sigh and threw the paper on the floor.
Pyronica looked up from her book, "Where you invited Pretty boy?"
That's another thing Dipper's noticed, nicknames. No one was ever really called their real names, except for a few odd occasions. Dipper's even been given a few in the short time he's been here: Shortie, Pine Tree, and Sapling were the most common. Bill's seemed to revolve around his physical appearance or something about his hair color. And Pryonica was Pryonica, refusing to give her real name to anyone, so guess that was a mystery he'll never solve.
Bill scoffed and flicked his blonde with his available hand, "Why of course! Couldn't get enough of this stunning face! Even if they do hate the man attached to it~" He said, Dipper rolled his eyes and scoffed, "Narcissistic little bitch". He punched Dipper in the back playfully, "That's Captain Bitch to you Pine Tree!". Dipper laughed and flipped Bill off.
"So who's gonna be in the entourage, goldie?" Pyronica said as she leaned and looked across the room to the other two. "I'm thinking that you, me, Pine Tree, and Teeth go? What are your thoughts?" Bill responded. "ME?" Dipper almost shouted.
Bill perked up, "Ya! You've gotta go Sapling! Tad's bitches throw the best parties! Plus I've got your first assignment!~" His voice seemed to purr. Pyronica jumped up from her seat, and leaned real close to Dipper's face, "AWWW Sapling's getting his first mission!~ Care to share what it is Handsome?". Bill chuckled quite loudly, Dipper rolled his eyes in response.
Dipper glanced down when he saw Bill's tanned hand crawl across the desk to let his fingers brush against Pyronicas hand. Dipper questioned it silently, and as much as he wanted to ask, he wisely kept his mouth shut.
"I would also like to know" Dipper said, it was a bit shakey, but that's understandable. Bill spun himself out of his plush blue padded chair, smacking Dipper with his hand accidentally. "Ow" Dipper mumbled as Bill started to wander. "I need you, dear Pine Tree~" He spread his arms out wide, "To try and trick a lady into handing over a necklace!". Dipper watched as he spun himself around on his heels. "That's it?" Dipper queered. Bill shook his head very quickly, "Yep Yep! Nothing more than stealing a pretty gold necklace from some darling lady!~ Who knows maybe you'll actually see a tit for the first time~" Bill purred as he started to propped his elbows up on the pine wood desk. He looked up at Dipper and laid his on the desk, check pressing into the ink on Dipper's papers.
"Think you can do that Pine Tree?" He was teasing, but Dipper was actually questioning.
Dipper hadn't even cheated in school, let alone break any law. So now he was here, part of one of the largest mafias in the area, being assigned to steal a necklace. That was a pretty big step from his normal day to day life. Heck he wasm't even good at talking to people, let alone pretty woman. AND GOOD GOD HIS FLIRTING SUCKED. He wasn't suited for this, not even a little bit. Hell, Grunkle Stan would be better at this than him, and he's not exactly a charmer.
But, against all resonable judgement... his answer was quite simple, yet stupidly hard.
"Ya I think I can handle that!"
