Andre pov

I'm at Mari school waiting for her to come out when her principal walked to my car.

"Hey Andre you know Amari isn't here right? She got into a fight and left" she said

"Nah I ain't know that but thanks" I said getting in my car and drove to my parents house

"Mama you know Mari got into a fight at school" I said

"Nah I ain't know ain't nobody call or text me" she said

"So where she at?" My dad asked

As soon as he said that Mari walked in

Mari pov

I walked in the house and everybody looked at me

"What?" I said looking around

"Where you was at?" My daddy asked

"With my friends" I said

"Bullshit you ain't got no friends" Dre said

Ngl that kinda hurt

"Bro y'all know nothing about my life outside these doors" I said

"Lil girl I'll whip up ass you out here being fast" my daddy said

"Im not being fast" I said

"Then what's that on your neck?" My mama asked

"It's a hickey" my daddy said

"You is being fast!" My daddy yelled and took off his belt and started whipping me

"DADDY STOP IM SORRY" I yelled crying and a couple seconds he stopped

"GIVE ME YO FUCKIN PHONE" he yelled

I gave it to him

"Now go upstairs and don't come down till dinner" my mama said

I ran upstairs to my room and layed down and cried

This shit so unfair. The one time I do something I get in trouble. But Andre get a slap on the wrist. But I'm rey use my other phone and text my uncle Trell

I got the phone and turned it on FaceTimed him and he picked up on the second ring

"Wassup Mari?" He said blowing smoke out his mouth

"Can you come get me? My parents being unfair rn" I told him

"I'll be there in 10 minutes and you better be ready" he said

"I will" I said hanging up and I packed my stuff and changed my clothes. Ima shower when I get there cause ion have time. At least I get to see my cousins. Taylin, Kayden, and kacey

(He only got those there kids in this story)

I heard my uncle knock downstairs so I got my bag and went down

"Uh where you think you going?" My mama asked

"With uncle Trell" I said opening the door and closed it before they can say something

"What happened?" My uncle asked when we got in the car

"So I went to school this morning right? Mind you I was late cause I was helping Dre move into his new apartment and he came home drunk so I had to get my own ride and you know I can't drive but anyway I was at my locker putting my stuff away and these three white girls walked up to me saying some racist shit so i tased then and beat 'em up and my sneaky link came and got me and we went to his house" I said shrugging

"What's his name?" He asked

"Xavier" I said

"I wanna meat him" he said said pulling me to his house

"Ok when?" I asked as we got out the car and he got my bag and we walked in the house

"Soon" he said and I went upstairs to the room I have here and layed on the bed

Not even a second later I felt three heavy ass bodies just on me

"Bro with" I said trying to push them off me

"I told you niggas to stop jumping on me" I said mugging them

"Anyway we missed you lil cuz" kayden said

"I missed you guys too" I said

"How long you gonna be here?" Tay asked

"Idk" I said honestly

For the rest of the day we caught up and I told them what happened and we ate and watched movies in my room
