Dre pov

I was in Walmart with Mari getting some stuff for my niece room and I cut in front of this white lady

"Sir you can't just cut in front of me" she said

"Shut up it's black history month" I said mugging her

"Dre shut up" she said laughing and I put the stuff on the belt

"Your total $143.89 will that be cash or card?" She asked

"Card" I said putting it in

She gave me the receipt and we left

I looked at Mari and saw she was wearing makeup and she never do

"Mari why you got on makeup?" I asked her and out the bags in the car

"I just wanted to try it out" she said

I took her home and helped her with the bags and I went home

Mari pov

I should have told him

Ever since I moved in grey have been getting more aggressive with me. He hits me sometimes but it never got to the point where I had to go to the hospital

"Where was you at?" He asked

"I was with Dre" I told him lowly

"Do you think I'm stupid?" He said shoving me to the floor

"Why. You. Keep. Playing. With. Me!" He said kicking me with every work and he slapped me

"Get up and make me some food" he said

I slowly got up and went in the kitchen and started cooking he took me phone but I still had my Apple Watch I put on my dnd and texted my uncle

I made his plate and took it to him

"Mari come here" he said and I came out

"She fell down the steps" he said

"No she fell getting out the shower" he said and started sweating

He went downstairs and a minute later I heard gunshots and I ran downstairs

Xavier killed him and I'm not even mad about it
