The silence was enough to make a monk uncomfortable. Sally was shocked. No one had ever admitted to loving her nor the Sally that she had turned into.
Anson on the other hand, he was regretting ever admitting his feelings. Sally had sat in a gaze for awhile and not said anything. He felt stupid.
"Well, this has been fun." Anson exhaled as he got up and dusted his trousers off. This caught the young Jonseys attention. "What? Why're you leaving?" She asked, standing up and trying to find an answer in his demeanour. "Cause I just admitted I love you and I now feel like a pleb." Anson laughed and headed to the stairs. "No! Don't leave." Sally blubbered. "Jonesy, I'm not asking for you to love me back. But at least let me go to avoid this." Anson insisted.
Sally was in awe. She had been so caught up in her own life to not realise the other feelings developing for her. The way he smiled, laughed, spoke, sang. She couldn't get enough of him. She wanted nothing more than to be with him. She wanted him. She wanted to admit her feelings towards him. Not just to him, or anyone else. But to herself."Please don't leave Anson." She pleaded. He looked to be growing impatient. He was being held in a situation he would rather not be in. "Jonesy." He restated. "I need to go."
"You can't." She quivered. Her emotions were getting the better of her. "Jonsey, Im not leaving you. I'm just leaving the situation." He sympathised, his heart breaking for the girl ahead.
"No." She argued. "No?" Anson repeated, not understanding what she was on about.
"You can't leave. You can't leave because-." This was her chance but she couldn't get the words out. "Because." She tried again but it wasn't working. "Because what?" Anson groaned, growing more and more annoyed with the situation."Because I love you too and I don't want to admit it or be vulnerable." She barked. Anson looked like he'd seen a ghost. This time, he was lost for words. "I love everything about you Anson Boon. I love the way you dance when we're in public even if i act like i hate it. I love the way you hold me when I need you and don't question me. I love you because I've never felt like this before about anyone. And it scares me, i'm terrified of loving you because I can't control my feelings towards you." She cried. It was hard being vulnerable. But she did it.
"Oh come here." Anson muttered in astonishment, he pulled her in and kissed her harder than ever before. She sunk into the kiss and was finally relaxed. It was finally working. Moving away from her old lifestyle was working. She'd fallen for him and not because of drugs, but because of real feelings and adrenaline. "I love you." She chuckled as she pulled back, looking up at him, almost in fear he would change his mind. "Fuck me Jonesy, I love you too. I love you so much." He laughed out, looking at her too. But this time, in pure amazement.
"More than you'll ever know."
