Vol 2: Loo Loo Land

Kore shot up, gasping awake, but managed to check her surroundings. Her husband awoke at her sudden outburst.

"Sweetheart, are you okay?" Striker asked sympathetically.

His wife continued panting. "It was...awful, dear. I dreamt that I lost you and Seth." Tears streamed down her face.

Striker placed an understanding hand on her cheek and wiped her tears. "It's okay, Doll. We're not going anywhere, but I'd check on Seth in the nursery just in case."

Kore pushed the bedsheets aside and her feet landed on her slippers. She slid her feet inside them and walked out of the room to find Seth.

Speaking of which...

He somehow managed to crawl out of his crib to find his mother out and about.

"Hey, little one," Kore said softly, "Were you worried about Mommy, so you can come out and find me?"

The infant rubbed his head against her soft, fuzzy slippers, gurgling cutely.

Kore smiled sweetly at her son and she carefully bent down to avoid hitting him. She scooped the child up from her slippers and carried him to her and her husband's bedroom.

Striker sat up on his bed to see his wife carrying their child and smiled at the sight.

"Hey, there, little buckaroo," Striker cooed at him.

"Seth was looking for me," Kore said as she sat down with her son on her lap.

Striker pet the baby's head. "Were you worried about your mommy, hmm? That way you can snuggle with us to make her feel better?"

"I think he was lonely, too."

"How about you join us, little man? How's that sound?"

Seth yawned and found himself lost in his mother's chest. Kore carefully positioned herself to lie on her back and her husband tucked in both his wife and son.

"Goodnight, son," Kore whispered gently as she smiled before closing her eyes.

Striker smiled warmly at them. "Goodnight, Sugar. Goodnight, kiddo." He shifted into a comfortable position and yawned as he'd done so.

...

"M n' M, KSS, get in here! We're goin' to Loo Loo Land!" Blitzo announced through his megaphone.

Striker groaned. It didn't surprise him one bit that his boss had just received a call from Stolas. He heard awful things about the place such as it being a rip-off of Lucifer's Lu Lu World.

"Bodyguards? Are you serious, Blitz?" Striker demanded.

"Come on, Strikes, Stolas is actually going to pay us for not only protecting him and his daughter, but also killing those who try to kill them. Hmm?"

"Exactly, we haven't been to a theme park in a while," said Kore.

"Yeah and I want to go there," Seth said.

"Kore. Seth...I..." Striker started to protest, only for his wife and son to give him "puppy eyes".

"Please?" his wife and son pleaded.

Striker sighed in defeat, "Oh, alright."

"Besides, you get to spend time with Kore and Seth, if you'd like," Millie suggested.
