(Crystal's POV)

"Crystal, baby," I groaned and ignored mommy waking me up. I just got home from school, and club practice. It was extra tiring due to driving home myself.

I heard her footsteps fading, phew. I continued my slumber peacefully. Not until-

"Scarlet," a familiar voice called for me. When I realized who it was, my eyes shot open. Now facing the living room's ceiling, I slowly glanced to my left.

"A-ano'ng ginagawa mo dito?" I asked him as I turned my back from him, embarrassed. I was now facing the couch, where I was lying down.

"Face me," he commanded, at least he sounded like it. I cleared my throat and fixed my hair before facing him. When I was now facing him, he chuckled before speaking.

"Tita Celine asked me to take you to a restaurant." He answered my question, I was yet again confused. What? Date? Ayaw ko!

"Your friends called her, you'll have dinner with them. Don't jump to conclusions." He's been acting as if he can read my mind these days. My face turned red, ano ba Tal! 'Yang mga pinag-iisp mo talaga.

I checked my phone and opened our gc, it was on mute so I wasn't notified. So, it was true. He was now sitting on the other couch, drinking coffee. Nanay Cynthia placed down coffee for me too and headed out with a smile.

I faced him and asked, "And why are you taking me there? I can go myself." I confronted him and took a sip of my coffee.

He raised his eyebrows and glanced at mommy busy with her papers on the dining table. I understood what he meant, but I nearly saved myself from exposing him to them last night! They were here when he drove me home, good thing I prevented him from going out of his car.

"You better get ready now, I'll wait here." He suggested, I finished my coffee and nodded.

When I was finished dressing up, I peeped through my window, I saw another car parked up front. I guess it's one of his cars, not bad.

As I was going down the stairs, I overheard mommy and Ashton talking. Not mean to eavesdrop, but it was about me, it concerns me after all. Forgive me, this time.

"I would love to ask you to take her for their dinner. And come back afterward to take her home. I'm sorry about this Nick, it's just everyone's busy and I could see she was exhausted from school earlier. I wouldn't want to worry myself about her getting home safe." She kindly asked him, I slowed my pace.

"Sure po, I'll be more than willing to do so." He surprisingly sounded gentle. I nodded and finally got down. Mommy bid her goodbyes and we were now in his car.

I had no plans of starting a conversation, I was too talkative the last time, and it was embarrassing. But unexpectedly, he started it. We were now on the highway on our way to the restaurant.

"So, how about this one?" He asked, I looked around. I knew he meant that about his car.

"Does my opinion really matter? As long as you like it, it's fine. Everyone has their own likes, and I guess you took my opinion too personally about the other car, I'm sorry." I said as he was just silently listening.

"I guess so, we're getting married. I'll have to consider your likes." Did he even listen to what I said? I could feel my face turning red, it's not that I like him or what. But he's so direct and straight to the point.

I didn't know what else to say, so I just nodded. Looked like he was getting pissed waiting for something. What was he waiting for?

"Answer my question, please." He said as he was turning the wheel to the right. I got stuck for a moment, but let out a small laugh afterward. So, he was still waiting for the answer after all that. He even said please.
