While Clark attempted to sound disappointed, his words came across as anxious. "We shouldn't do this," he said.
The room was cold, really cold. All of the justice league members are here, well except for the bat.
Due to the frequent Arkham breakouts of Gotham's rogues, Batman's absence from the conference today was unusual but not unexpected.
It is unknown how the atmosphere became like this. Even the noisiest people from the league was quiet as a rat in todays meeting.
Of course they are.
They're talking about the bat after all.
Initially, they were discussing the knowledge they had of one another. When the subject of Batman was abruptly brought up by the Flash.
"Hey does anyone know anything about Batman?"
"Uhm-" the room was silent.
A few more minutes later and the conversation went off to an interesting path. In which it resulted in this mess-
"Clark! I'm sure it'll be alright!" Hal replied with a hint of frustration, "I mean, is it fair that Spooky knows our hidden identities but we don't know his?"
"But-"
...
"He probably even knows all about our powers and weaknesses and can takes us out in a matter of minutes!"
...
"Batman is very mysterious, but we shouldn't-"
"Batman, probably has a goddamn file of you. Your weakness, your strengths, your love life even!"
...
"We all agree, right?"
Hal asked from the other team members. The room got even colder.
No one spoke a word.
Hal was right the bat knew their secret identities but they don't know his. They were at a disadvantage.
"But it's an invasion of privacy!" Superman trying to make a point that the act they were trying to deciding on doing was immoral.
"He can probably take us out in the matter of minutes Clark, maybe he has some goddamn army right now." Hal argued to Clark oblivious to the tense atmosphere he is creating.
"I believe Hal is right." Aquaman who is quiet most of the meeting said making Superman tense.
"B-but it's-"
"Hal is right Batman probably knows everything about us especially our weakness and keeps it in a creepy folder. While we don't know anything about him- I mean. We don't even know if he is a meta or not!" Barry snapped.
Most of the people in the room nodded tensely.
Clark showed a hurt expression. But didn't argue further. He asked the people in the room.
"So all in favor, should we carry on with the plan or not."
Almost all the people in the room raised their hand.
Hal smirked proudly.
