Chapter 5

(Morgan's POV)

Darkness greeted me as I awoke to a loud clap of thunder outside the pizzeria.

I had been lying on something firm yet soft and wondered for a few seconds as to where I was.

I then remembered last night...

"Cap'n Foxy? Are you awake?"

I heard a whir of gears as he lifted his head.

"A-a-a-aye lass! Good morning!"

I smiled.

After all these years, I'm surprised I could still muster a genuine smile. That's what made this place special I guess...

Of course, Foxy was the first to ever make me smile. I doubted I'd have made it so far in life had I never met him...

You could say I loved him, but I could only be friends with him... Humans couldn't marry animatronics...

Especially me...

"Be there something amiss Morgan?"

"Huh?"

"Ye were smiling, b-b-but then ye got a sad look on yer lovely face... Piece of e-e-eight fer yer thoughts?"

I smiled again.

"It's nothing. Just something I shouldn't be worrying about at the moment... After all, I want this time with you and the others to be as happy as possible."

"...If ye wish lass."

(Foxy's POV)

Something was bothering Morgan, but she didn't seem to want to talk about it...

I wanted to pry, but if I did, it might upset her.

I hated seeing others cry, but especially so with Morgan. Whenever that Tommy boy had hit her or her mother would say or do something cruel to her, she'd hold her tears in until the last minute and sometimes break down when she would talk with me...

I despised anyone who could torment a girl as kind and gentle as Morgan was and make her cry...

But for now, I wanted her to be happy, so I would let it go.

For now at least...

"Earth to Cap'n Foxy? Hello?"

"Hm? Yes Morgan?"

"I said are you going to come visit Freddy, Bonnie and Chica with me or not you silly fox?" She giggled. She had stood up sometime while I was thinking.

I thought about it. It would make her happy and maybe put whatever thoughts she had before out of her mind, so it seemed like a good idea.

Plus, I kinda missed talking to the others...

"Aye! I'll accompany you lass."

"Well then! Shall we set sail Cap'n?"

"Aye! To the party room we go, first mate Hennesy!"

"Aye aye, Cap'n!" She said saluting.

I parted the dusty curtains to my cove and offered her my paw. It may have been daylight hours but it was still dark. Thankfully I had night vision. Morgan, however, did not.

Taking my paw, she followed me to the party room, where Chica was waiting impatiently.

"There you are Morgan! I was worried this pizza I made you for breakfast would get cold before you woke up!"

Morgan's eyes lit up.

"Oh my! Chica you have no idea how much I have missed your pizza!"

"Well then! Let's eat! It's in the kitchen!"

(Chica's POV)

Morgan and I went to the kitchen, followed closely by Foxy.

I, however, wasn't having it.

"Foxy! You had her all night! It's my turn so go talk with Bonnie and Freddy!"

"Argh! Fine!"

"Yes! Girl time!" I said as Foxy left.

Morgan giggled as Foxy stormed off in a tantrum. I caught something glistening on her left ring finger as her hand rose to hide her giggle.

'Is that what I think it is?'

It was!

An engagement ring! Foxy will be heart broken!

She saw my gaze.

"Please don't tell him..."

"Why are you hiding it?"

"..."

"Morgan, please tell me. Your were just as much my friend as Foxy, Freddy and Bonnie when you were a child. You still are... Tell me so I know why you'd do this to Foxy."

"... I did it for Foxy..."

"...What?"

"Right after the bite... I made a deal with my mother. If she kept Foxy from being scrapped and paid to keep this place going with a stipend from our company... I'd marry Tommy on my eighteenth birthday... A week from now."

"...But Foxy can-"

"Foxy can never know about this... It would kill him on the inside... I may not be able to help him get back on stage with the children, but I can keep him safe for at least awhile longer..."

I wanted to cry so bad...

This wasn't fair...

"Now how about that pizza? I'm kinda hungry... You?

She's just trying to push aside the subject to keep from breaking down...

"You go ahead dearie... I think I've lost my appetite for once..."
