(Morgan's POV)
Black... Everything was black...
But... I remember...
Rain. And me running away...
But... From what?
A pair of amber eyes and red fur flashed in my mind.
Wait...
Foxy...
I was running from Foxy...
Because of...
I sat up quickly, instantly regretting it due to the pain causing my head to spin.
I fell back onto a soft pillow.
Wait. Pillow?!
Trying one more time to open my eyes, I was blinded by pure white...
The room I was in was full of medical supplies.
Looking down, I realized I was in a thin gown.
I was in the hospital!!
Just then, a woman with dark hair in a bun walked in. Seeing I was awake, she rushed over to me.
"Oh great! Your awake! I'm Dr. Karen Temple." She said semi softly.
"How long have I been here?" My voice was husky.
"Three days Miss Hennesy. You have a few visitors. But I need to run some tests on you to..."
I didn't hear past the first sentence.
Three days?! But that meant my wedding with Tommy was in two more days!!
And Foxy...
I wanted to spend his final days with him and all I did was make things worse for him!
"Miss Hennesy?"
Dr. Temple touched my shoulder to get my attention.
"We need to get your head examined. When your head collided with that brick wall you got a concussion. I don't think there's any damage, judging from your previous EKGs, but it's better safe than sorry. Thankfully you don't have pneumonia after being in the rain for however long you were unconscious."
"Alright..."
They took me to a room to do some testing... When I got back to my room to wait for results, my mother was there waiting.
"Morgan Ophelia Hennesy! What were you thinking running away?! Your wedding is in two days!"
"Mrs. Hennesy. I'm going to have to ask you to not yell or else you will have to leave." Dr. Temple reprimanded.
"... Very well."
Turning back to me, she glared.
"This is about that stupid robot fox isn't it? You break a vase over your fiancé's head and run away to see that damn machine? You are a woman now Morgan. Grow up and realize that pathetic little fantasy of it being your friend is just that. It's programmed to like you. But that won't matter anymore now will it? After all, I'm making arrangements for that pathetic little pizzeria to be shut down as we speak."
I glared back at her, but didn't say anything... If I did, she'd have Foxy dismantled within the hour.
"Tommy's parents are quite cross at you for attacking their son, but they still want the marriage thankfully. You best count your blessings you ungrateful wretch."
"Mrs. Hennesy, that is quite enough. Your daughter should be resting peacefully... Please leave."
She glared at Dr. Temple, who glared back, but left.
Sighing, Dr. Temple looked at me.
"I see why you ran away... Bonnie was my personal favorite. Always so shy, but his pranks made me laugh a lot when I was a kid..."
I looked at Dr. Temple for what seemed the first time. Her blue eyes shining as she smiled in reminiscence.
"You like Bonnie? He and Foxy are close..."
"Yes. Shame what's happening... Those guys are special you know... Ever since Foxy bit that man, that place has been going downhill..."
"... It's all my fault... Foxy only bit that security gaurd because of me... Now your losing Bonnie..."
"Hey... That was twelve years ago... Don't beat yourself up over it..."
"How can I not? I went there to spend time with Foxy before him and everyone else were to be scrapped, but I only made it worse..."
"...Well, you need to stop feeling sorry for yourself. I saw the look in your eyes when your mother was talking to you. If you are that upset when she talks that way about your friend, then that means you really care for him. Possibly in a romantic sense if I had to guess. You care that much? Then stand up and fight for him. Not physically of course, since as a doctor I frown upon violence, but I believe you understand..."
I was flabbergasted...
"Keep sitting there with your mouth open, and you'll catch flies." She joked.
"Your right..." I said, meaning more than just the pun about the flies.
"I am, aren't I? Well, let's get those test results..."
"I know we just met an hour ago, but would you come to my wedding? As my maid of honor? I don't have any human friends that could fill the spot yet."
"... I don't see why not."
"Good! You have no idea how glad I am you can make it!"
I smiled deviously. This was going to be an event to remember!
