He was acting so strange, being the person he was I didn't expect him to be so ignorant and cocky. I wanted to move in with him for a reason, but he kept pushing me away! He's the reason I am where I am today! He's the person that inspired me! And I feel like it's my job to make him proud. He's not related to me or anything, but I still feel like seeing him smile makes me feel like I've achieved a personal goal.
We were best friends, but lately he seems out of it. I wanted to talk to him, to see if he was alright, but all he seemed to be interested in was me moving out. If he wanted me to, why couldn't he just tell me?!? I'm getting worked up over nothing, but I want to know why he doesn't want me around anymore. I will do anything for him to be my best friend again. I get jealous quite easily, so if he ever gets any other friends I get thoughts that he's going to leave me, but I won't allow that to happen.
"Phil, I'm taking my phone. If anything happens, ring me"
"Whatever" he muttered again, re-folding his arms
"Phil, quit being so grumpy! You spoon" I answered, walking out the door.
I needed to think of things that would get his attention, if only I knew what makes him want to stay. Phil may not seem like it, but he's the kind of person that will see a flying porcelain pig and only get exited and happy about it when he was alone, like he never wanted to share his emotions. Was it because he doesn't trust me? He doesn't like me? I wish I had the slightest clue. He acts completely normal around Chris and Peej though, so I don't know what his problem is with me. I just want him to be upfront.
I was going out to meet my brother in Starbucks, we hadn't talked in quite some time so we both arranged to meet. His 16th birthday was soon, So I needed to make sure I was there. For him, and for our relationship.
"Hey bro!" He shouted as I walked in
"Adrien! How are you?"
"I'm good! Me and Hannah are planning on renting a flat when I turn 17. She's not 16 yet though either"
"Are you sure you're not thinking too far? It's good you've got plans, but are you committed? If not, then I wouldn't bother trying to keep her happy"
"You thought too far about moving in with Phil! You only met a few months before!"
"Look, I know you don't like that I moved out. But Phil is my best friend, and he was the reason I started YouTube in the first place"
"I guess you're right. Oh, congrats on 1,000,000 subscribers by the way. There's a group of girls in school that don't know I'm your brother, and they're completely obsessed with you and Phil. I'm not exaggerating"
"Yet they still haven't figured out you're my brother?"
"They kept asking so I said no, I didn't want them to stalk me so they can meet you"
"Alright, I get you. D'you think me and Phil should go to your school? Just to maybe do something we do on our channel?"
"That'd be awesome, Dan! I'll give you the number!"
He put the number in my phone, and then we had to get back to our own houses. He's growing up, but I don't want him to move in with Hannah. I know they've only been together for a couple of months, so I don't want to see his heart get broken. I guess I'll wait till I visit his school though, I can't judge entirely on how long they've been together.
My phone rang. Phil.
"Spoon?" I said, I called it him a lot. I was his bear.
"Bear"
"Is everything ok?"
"Yeah, fine"
"Why did you ring then?"
"Can't a guy just ring his bear without being questioned?"
"I guess you're right"
"Anyway. You need to get home asap. I can't wait any longer"
"For what?"
"Death note! You need to be here! I can't watch it without you!"
"Oh god! I'll run back if I have to!"
"Woah. I'd never make you do that! Even if it does mean death note!"
"Cheers. I'm getting on the bus now, so I'll be home in about 20 minutes"
"K-" the line went dead, I'm assuming that he accidentally hung up with his ear again. He did that a lot.
