When I opened the door, I saw him standing there waiting.

"Hey. Why are you here?"

He look at me startled. It's been weeks since I last saw him because I was avoiding him. To be honest, I miss him so much. But I was scared to face him.

"Okay ka lang ba?" He immediately asked. I shook my head.

I think I have a fever. Naulanan kasi ako kahapon kaya baka nagkasakit ako ngayon.

I blink twice when he put the back of his hand on my forehead. "Mainit ka."

Pumasok kami sa loob. Umupo ako sa sofa at pinanood siyang pumunta sa kusina. I watched him get a towel and a water. I don't know why I am letting him touch my things. I mean he do this before. I'm just surprised that he's in front of me again after many weeks.

He was looking at the cabinets. Nang mapatingin siya sa akin ay nag tama ang tingin namin. I immediately looked away.

"Wala ka bang gamot dito?" I shook my head.

I heard him sigh before he prepared the towel and the bowl of watwr.

My lips slightly parted when I remembered that it's his birthday today.

He sat beside me and put the bowl of water in the table.

"Kaiser," I called him. He looked at me with questioning eyes.

"Happy birthday," I said.

There was a ghost of smile appeared in his face, "Salamat. Akala ko nakalimutan mo."

"How could I forgot your special day?"

He shrugged.

He got my hand and started wiping it with towels. I stared at him while he do that. When he looked at me, his lips slightly parted.

"Bakit?" I shook my head.

"Can you get my phone there? I'm just going to message Alex."

He stood up and got my phone. After that, he went on wiping my other hand.

"Kumusta ka?"

"Fine, I guess? How about you?"

"Okay lang din. Masaya."

"Why? Oh because it's your birthday?"

"Hindi. Masaya ako kasi nakakausap na ulit kita," he answered. When I looked at him, his eyes were focus on our hands.

Napalunok ako. My heart's beating so fast now. Ano ba 'tong nararamdaman ko!

We were developed by silence after that conversation. I don't know what to say but deep inside me, I want to talk to him. I want to hear answers from my questions.

"I'm sorry," he suddenly said after minutes of silence.

"For what?"

"Sa lahat."

When our eyes met, I saw how his adam's apple move.

"Sorry kasi hindi ako naniwala sa 'yo noon. Sorry dahil sinisi kita na sinisiraan mo siya. Tangina, maling mali ako roon. Sorry, Isla."

"It's okay. I don't hold grudges you know that," I smiled. "And I understand you. Mahirap paniwalaan ang mga sinabi ko noon, knowing I don't have enough evidence to prove those."

"Pero kahit na. Sana naniwala nalang ako."

"What happened to her?"

"Brianna?" I nodded.
