Scaramouche woke up in a bad mood his head had been clouded the whole night. he had been barely able to fall asleep he didn't particularly like being in Inazuma, but the Tsarista had ordered that he take Her gnosis. At least he has one thing to look forward to today, another meeting with the mysterious Kazuha. Something about him just draws him in like a moth to a lamp. perhaps it was because he was pretty, Scaramouche had always had a fascination with pretty things. Well, better not dwell on it.
As he changed into his everyday work clothing his hands gently felt over the electro symbols that danced across his chest. He looked away, he hated thinking of her. An angry rage bubbled beneath his skin as he put his hat on his head. He walked out to see Childe waiting for him. That annoying ginger bitch,
"Hi!" Childe greeted him excitedly
"What are you so happy about," Scaramouche grumbled, Childe quickly took all the energy out of him.
"I get to go to Liyue!" Childe replied, "I've never been there before, I need to summon this ancient god named Osial or something. And get the Geo archons gnosis."
"So?" Scaramouche said indifferently.
"The Geo archon, Or Morax, Is the strongest archon!" Childe exclaimed, " imagine what experience I can gain from fighting him!"
"Ah," Scaramouche said. " how exciting."
"Shut up asshole," Childe grumbled at his indifference. "Anyhow, I'm leaving at noon. Remember why you're here."
"Ok, ok, yea I know. Get the Raiden shoguns gnosis and head to Snezhnaya." Scaramouche repeated.
"Alright! I'll send you letters!" Childe said running off to the docks. "Byee!!"
Scaramouche sighed, why did I hang out with this annoying person?
Scaramouche checked his phone, 11:45 he should head to the beach.
As he walked through the roads of Inazuma he couldn't help but think of the past. Inazuma looks so different than he last remembered. It was almost bittersweet.
Walking through the purple sakura blossoms Scaramouche looked up at Narukami Shrine, was that old fox lady still dating his mother?
When he was finally at the beach he saw kazuha waiting for him. Sat on the ground
"You're early." Kazuha mused. Tama glared at Scaramouche
"I had nothing else to do." Scaramouche retorted. Sitting down
"You know what Scara," Kazuha said looking directly into his eyes.
"What?" Scaramouche said, sort of worried. Why should he be worried? He doesn't care what Kazuha thinks.
"You really remind me of someone," Kazuha continued. "Somebody I absolutely despise. But I can't exactly put my finger on it."
"Oh, It must be a coincidence," Scaramouche said briskly.
It was not a coincidence, Scaramouche knew exactly who Kazuha was talking about. His conscience was raging underneath his skin why didn't he tell Kazuha? This was going to bite him in the ass sooner or later wasn't it.
"Yea... just a coincidence," Kazuha said, looking away. But there was still a far-off look in his eyes,
"Did you sleep last night Kazuha?" Scaramouche interrupted.
"Oh... no I didn't." Kazuha sighed. "I had a really bad nightmare."
Scaramouche cupped his hands around Kazuhas face and turned it towards himself.
"Scara?!" Kazuaha Squeaked
"Listen here, Tonight you better get enough sleep. You are still human, after all, you look half dead." Scaramouche declared
Scaramouche then let go of Kazuhas face, his actions finally catching up to him. Face like a tomato, Scaramouche didn't even notice that Tama had tackled him to the sandy floor.
"Gah!" Scaramouche yelped. Fighting with the surprisingly strong cat. If he had looked up at Kazuha he would have seen the blush that stained Kazuha's cheeks red.
Kazuha giggled, It was a lovely sound.
"Alright, I'll try to get more sleep tonight," Kazuha said. Grabbing Tama off of Scaramouche.
"How dare that cat look so smug!?" Scaramouche growled.
"Don't worry, Tama warms up to everyone eventually." Kazuha mused.
"Anyways Scara, Why are you in Inazuma anyways?" Kazuha said, " last time I was here I didn't see you."
"Secret Fatui business." Scaramouche said, still upset that he had lost to a cat.
"I see, I'm here just to visit" Kazuha replied. "In a while, a friend of mine will come by and pick me up to go back to Liyue."
Oh.
"When are you leaving?" Scaramouche asked
"In a month or so," Kazuha said thoughtfully.
"Mhm." Scaramouche hummed, a strange numb feeling was felt deep within his bones. Why? He didn't care about Kazuha.
"Oh, yea!" Kazuha exclaimed, Shocking Scaramouche out of his thought bubble." there's this convention thing tomorrow, It's made by Yae publishing house. And I have a feeling some of my friends will be there. Want to accompany me?"
That fox...
"Will there be a lot of people?" Scaramouche replied.
"Perhaps, but I'll be there if you accompany me so you don't have to be afraid!" Kazuha mused.
"W-Who said I was scared, ME? The sixth of the fatui Harbingers? The Balleder? Scared?" Scaramouche cried indignantly.
Kazuha chuckled,
"I apologize, I didn't mean it like that oh lord Balleder." Kazuha grinned.
" tsk, I'll see you tomorrow." Scaramouche got up and stormed off. How dare Kazuha say that!
"Bye-Bye, Oh mighty harbinger," Kazuha yelled to Scaramouche.
When the beach was out of eyeshot Scaramouche ducked behind a tree. Did Kazuha just ask him on a date? A warm fuzzy feeling was swelling up inside of him.
Oh, wait.
Kazuha said he had friends that were going to be there. Scaramouche's feeling of fuzziness died down a little.
Why was he sad? He didn't care about that. Oh my fucking tsartista. He didn't care what Kazuha thought.
He got up and stormed through the purple forest. Although he refused to admit it, he was excited about tomorrow.
