I walk downstairs for the daily batting practice to see everyone paired up in the cages except Greyson, just my luck! I had Greyson hit first and I soft tossed baseballs to him. He hits fingers almost every ball and never misses a single one. After the bucket was empty I grabbed softballs and my bat and put my batting gloves on while Greyson got ready to soft toss to me. I was hitting almost every ball to the back of the cage which even surprised me. "Your really good" Greyson says making butterflies in my stomach go crazy. "Thank you, you are too really" I say unable to control the smile on my face. I take a break to get on my phone and see that Lexi has posted a picture of me and Greyson on snap Lexi🧸

I show Greyson and he smiles and says you can see all you dingers in the back making me laugh. "Imma go upstairs, bye grey" I say grabbing the girls before leaving.
"You guys are so cute" Lexi says "No, it can't happen you know the rule" I say annoyed It's been two weeks since we cuddled and we've been getting closer, I think I might be starting to like him. "Forget the rule" Lexi says "Just tell you dad how you feel" Ansley says "That's actually a good idea hopefully he will drop the rule" I say "Wait does this mean you like Greyson, Sage?" Ansley asks "Uhh no, idk maybe" I say shyly trying to hide the blush rising on my face. "You do" Lexi says cheering " go talk to your dad Sage" Ansley says pushing me out my room "Ok" I say and walk to my dads office
" hey dad, can I talk to you" I ask "What's up Sage?" He asks "Well it's about the rules" i say making him raise his eyebrow "Sage, the rules are not changing" he states "But what if I really like someone on the team dad?" "This is about Greyson isn't it" he says knowingly "Well sorta, dad please I really like him" I beg "Does he know?" He asks "No" I say "I think he likes you" dad says catching me by surprise "Maybe" I say "If he does let him make the first move, but he better talk to me" dad says "Ok thank you thank you thank you" I say excitedly "Bye Sage" my dad says earning a bye back and I start to head to my room.
Graysons pov:
After Sage went to her room, I went to go talk to coach. I asked his permission to ask her on a date. The last few weeks we've gotten closer and I really like her. "Coach can we talk?" I ask "Sure go ahead" he says "Well it's about Sage" I say making him raise an eyebrow "What about her" "I know you have a rule that no one's aloud to date her but I was wondering if I could have permission to ask her on a date, I really like her these past few weeks have been amazing she's really smart, funny, pretty, and really good at sports. Whenever she's around I can't seem to focus on anything but her, she makes me get butterflies in my stomach by the littlest things. So can I please have permission to ask her on a date sir?" " Greyson I appreciate you coming and asking my permission to date my daughter and I know your a good guy and won't hurt her so yes you can but if you hurt her your off the team" he says "Yes sir" "now bye Greyson" I walked out of his office and saw Sage getting pushed out of her room so I hurried to the batting cages before she saw me.
