CHAPTER TEN: the sacrifice

"I just wanted pancakes," Jensen Gilbert groaned when the door bell rung.
Elena playfully rolled her eyes. "I'll get the door." ░▒▓█►─═𝒽𝑒𝓎𝒷𝓇𝑜𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓇, 𝒽𝑒𝓎𝓈𝒾𝓈𝓉𝑒𝓇═─◄█▓▒░
It had been Damon and Stefan, informing that Katherine had wanted to get out of the tomb, she would give them the moonstone and leave Mystic Falls. Forever.
"You don't believe her, do you?" Elena asked.
"No, of course not. We just want the moonstone." Damon speaks.
"According to Rose's friend Slater, there's a way to destroy the spell that Klaus wants to break." Stefan says.
"No spell, no doppelgänger sacrifice. Ergo, you both live."
"How do you destroy it?" Jensen asked.
"By releasing it from the moonstone." Stefan answered.
"How do you guys even know this is gonna work?" Elena questioned.
"Cause we have a crafty witch on our side." Damon says.
"You discussed it with Bonnie."
"She agreed to do anything she could to help us." Stefan replied.
"It's Katherine who has the moonstone. She's not gonna give it to you."
"We're gonna get it from her."
"Well, what he means to say is, we will pry it from her cold, dead hand if we have to." Damon says.
"How do you plan to get into the cave?" Jensen asked.
"Bonnie just needs to find a way to release the seal long enough for us to get in, get the moonstone, and get out in time for her to return it." Stefan explained.
"Wow. I mean, it sounds like you guys already have it all planned out." Elena says.
