A month had passed since the night Anya and Toni had shared a kiss under the stars. The former had cut herself off from everyone, ignoring texts, calls and never leaving the house.

Anya had completely isolated herself in her bedroom, only leaving for the occasional toilet visit or to get some food. Francesca Rivera had worriedly watched as her daughter began to 'shut down' almost.

Toni had frantically texted Anya repeatedly the first week or two after the kiss, but eventually over time the texts stopped.

The Rivera teen also hadn't spoken to Martha since that night, she felt bad for taking it out on the dark haired girl but she hadn't meant to. Anya just didn't want to talk to anyone.

A light tap on Anya's door had caused the girl to glance towards the doorway, she spotted her mother stood with an awkward smile and a leaflet held in her hand.

"Can I come in?" Her mom asked.

"If you want." Anya grumbled, still staying wrapped in her blankets.

Francesca walked over to her daughter, sitting on the edge of the bed.

"We need to talk," She stated, reaching to grab her daughter's hand.

"What?" The teen retorted.

"I don't know what happened that night at Martha's, but since you came back it's been like living with a ghost." Francesca took a breath. "I'm getting worried, sweetheart."

Anya rolled her eyes, huffing in annoyance. "Nothing happened."

"Obviously something did, but I won't press the topic anymore." She smiled sadly. "On a brighter note, I have a surprise for you."

Francesca leaned forward, passing her daughter the leaflet. "It's a retreat in Hawaii, all girls and it looks like fun."

Anya looked at her mother and then down at the leaflet that now resided in her hands. A picture of a beach and palm trees was on the cover.

"I don't know, mom." The teen spoke unsurely.

"What do you mean? It would be a good break from everything that's happened, or according to you 'not happened'" Francesca gestured to her daughter, waving her hands slightly.

"I mean if it's already sorted, I guess I have to go." Anya grumbled.

"Yes! I think you're gonna love it, darling." Her mother smiled. "Okay, I'll leave you to sort yourself out and pack."

Anya's eyebrows furrowed. "Pack?"

"Well the flights tomorrow." Francesca announced before skipping out the room, shutting the door behind her.

The Rivera teen let out a loud groan, throwing herself back onto the bed dramatically.
