Wednesday

Martina was walking through a mathematics problem with me, but my mind really couldn't focus with the current events that occurred in the last week and a half. My mother and sister dying. Meeting Vivianne and Santiago and now Andrea being in a coma...

It's just too much.

I closed my eyes as Martina placed her hand on mine, snapping my attnetion to hers, "Hey, Rue, I get that a lot has happened recently. Why don't we have a girls day out? I can show you the town, my favourite places and where to get the best gelato. You can bring one of your brothers if you want?" She smiled brightly, warming up the room.

Martina is the nicest, sweetest person you could meet.

You know that person that's just so cool that everyone wants to hang out with? Yep. That's Martina. She helps out with charities, looking after injures animals and works on rehabilitating them back into the wild. She even has an IQ of 176, which is very intelligent!

"Why don't we work on the last couple of problems and if I spot one of my brothers I can ask?"

Martina nodded, the smile still on her face, "Of course, if anything gets too overwhelming, you let me know, okay?"

The house was deadly different since Andrea had left in the ambulance, which was weird considering I had only been here for a few days now, but it was evidently clear with how distraught my step brothers have been.

Ralph, Bruno and I watched so many Disney movies until morning as it was the only thing that helped our overwhelmed brains. Since there was an ice cream machine in the living room, we kept refilling them and eating ice cream. It was therapeutic.

Bruno and Ralph had looked at each other sharing a look. I had been sitting next to them laying my head against Bruno's shoulder as we had watched Giovanni leave after the first twenty minutes of Wall-E saying he needed a moment.

I didn't see Arlo or Maximus.

I had hoped that they were okay.

When Martina found out Andrea was in a coma, she had ordered flowers to her hospital room. Later saying how they were Lily's picked from her family's garden.

Within twenty minutes we were starting the mathematics problems and internally crying inside, although I doubt Martina wanted to internally cry. But, it's not nice for me to assume her life is good. She could be going through a lot of shit too.

True to our word, once we finished the last mathematic problems, we ventured out of the dining room in hopes to find one of my brothers.

This was the tricky part. Even though it's been a whole day since the attack and everyone was still raw with emotions.

As me and Martina stared up at the balcony trying to figure out which brother to go to, the front door swung open, in walking Maximus with a tired look on his face, as he closed the door he glanced up at me, "Rue, how're you?"

I rushed over to him, giving him a hug, "Where did you go? You left and never came back."

Maximus wrapped his arms around me, "Police station, remember? And then I took a long drive with friend of mine, he helped me with it."

He pulled away, staring at Martina, his confused look stared down at me as he lifted an eyebrow, "How's your studying?"

"Everything has been a lot recently in the last two weeks. We were wondering if we could head down into town, for fresh air, if we're not allowed it's okay-" I rambled.
