The second I saw the crimson blood covering his clothes fury burned deep inside me. I was so upset I could barely control myself as I ran towards him. Emotions over took me as I threw myself into him slamming my fist against his chest as his hands reached up to stop me.
"I swear if that's someone else's blood I'll kill you myself!" I yelled as tears started to build in my eyes.
When he didn't speak I realized something was wrong. My anger quickly switched to concern as I looked up at his blank expression searching for an explanation. His grip on my hand tightened as suddenly he fell to one knee. I understood now what was wrong. The blood was his and he was badly injured and in pain. My hands flew to the location where the most blood was pooling on his clothes. Taking in the shape of the tear in his clothing I looked up at him as blood dripped from his lip.
"You got stabbed?!" I shouted angry once again.
"It hurts a lot." He managed to mutter as he forced himself back to his feet.
I helped him to the nearest bathroom which just so happened to be in my room. I grabbed a towel and pressed it against his wound as I searched for a first aid kit. When I found it I grabbed the sharp fabric scissors from inside and started cutting through Jax's clothes tearing off his shirt.
"I hope you didn't like that shirt." I muttered as I got to work.
When I was a kid my dad had trained me well in first aid. He was a good teacher and all his lessons flooded back into my brain as I quickly cleaned the wound and sanitized it. Jax winced in pain as I worked but let me help him since I clearly knew what I was doing. I handled his giant wound stitching it up nicely before I took a minute to breath. My hands were shaking as I gently cleaned away the blood smeared all over Jax's tanned torso. Knowing he was now stable at the very minimum I took my time as I cleaned a few other wounds he had before bandaging him up. I finished patching him up before I went over to the sink and washed the blood off my hands, his blood. I felt sick as suddenly he spoke.
"Thank you for helping me. I had no clue you could do first aid." He said with a dull voice.
"Don't think I'll ever do that again!" I shouted moving to bury my face in his chest as tears fell from my eyes.
"Why are you crying?" He asked softly as he gently wrapped his arms around me.
"You got stabbed! You could've died!" I choked out.
There was a silence before he hummed in amusement.
"I thought you didn't care at all about me." He muttered as I looked up at the cocky grin on his face.
"Don't you dare." I mumbled glaring at him.
He chuckled and then started coughing. It scared me and I looked up at him worried.
"I'm fine. I might need some rest is all." He said cupping my cheek with his hand.
I blushed. I didn't want to leave him alone in his condition. It wasn't a good idea. I was going to have to sleep next to him in case he needed me.
"You're staying in my room. You can lay down in the bed and rest now if you're feeling unwell." I mumbled looking away.
"Okay." He muttered not putting up a fight.
I helped him to the bed where he sat down and then laid down with a sigh. I checked over his bandages before I sighed and fell to my knees leaning against the edge of the bed as I listened for Jax to say something or make some sort of sound. When the silence between us grew deeper I broke it.
"Are you going to be okay?" I asked hesitantly waiting for an answer.
"Thanks to you I will be." He said with a groan as he shifted his position on the bed.
Worried I jumped up and searched his eyes to see if there was any way I could help him. When I saw the small smile on his face I relaxed a bit and then when he spoke I stopped worrying completely.
"So are you going to kiss it better or what?" He said pouting.
I shook my head smiling slightly. Just because I felt like teasing him for once I ran a hand over where his wound was before I leaned down and kissed is gently. As I stood upright again I glanced to see Jax was blushing slightly.
"There you are. I kissed it better for you." I said softly as I kept a hand on his torso.
"You should kiss me here now." Jax said as he tapped his lips.
I couldn't help but grin. I moved closer to him and I cupped his cheek. His eyes were searching mine with curiosity. I leaned down and planted a soft kiss on his lips. He groaned as he moved a hand to the back of my head prolonging the kiss as he deepened it. Finally he let me pull away and I was blushing in embarrassment.
"Kisses really do make the pain go away." He said with a chuckle as he seemed more motivated.
"Idiot." I muttered turning away from him.
"Lay with me." He blurted out catching me off guard.
I turned to look at him a bit curious if he was up to something but it didn't look like he was scheming anything. I blinked as he struggled to find the next thing he was going to say.
"I mean come lay beside me and keep me company. I'm lonely." He said looking away.
I rolled my eyes but crawled into the bed to lay beside him. Just before I could get in a comfortably position Jax grabbed me and pulled me closer to him. He put my head on his chest as he held my hand over his lower torso. At first I tried to pull away but he only held me there putting himself in pain.
"What are you doing?" I asked looking up at him.
"Getting comfortable. Don't pretend like you don't want to cuddle me." He hummed as I realized I did give up fighting rather quickly.
I blushed and hid my face in his chest as I snuggled into him. He practically purred as I got comfy and started tracing over the bandages on his torso in an effort to keep myself busy. After a while Jax started drifting off to sleep. Once he was asleep I yawned while I looked up at his sleeping state. He looked so peaceful I couldn't help but smile as I myself drifted into a sleep as I watched the rhythm of his chest rising and falling.
