Yang was speechless, mere moments ago her, Blake, and Weiss were held at gun point well looking for her sister Ruby. Then she and her team found out that the one holding them at gunpoint was in fact Ruby with her face covered in scars. So things couldn't get worse right?
Wrong, because to Yang's bewilderment she watched her little sister chug an entire bottle of whiskey like it was water after walking in the desert for 3 days. That wasn't even getting into the fact she had a robot with her along with a cyberdog? Yang honestly didn't know how to respond to the thought of a cyberdog but against all odds it was here and it was happening.
She was so surprised she couldn't even make a god Yang pun right now. Ok maybe that was a lie. However the point still stands.
_____________________________________________Blake despite being the quiet one on the team was not quite by choice this time but rather the inability to process what the hell was in front of her. Last night they all went to sleep when they woke up, Ruby was missing. Now they had found her after she held them at gun point with the help of a robot and dog. Wait dog?
A dog, really she hated dogs but everything about this one was wrong. It's brain was in a glass jar suspended in some sort of liquid. Blake could hear the click of mechanical parts that made up one of its legs. She may hate dogs but this was just wrong.
Then there was Ruby they had seen her last night but now? Now she looked older, taller and her face held all sorts of scars. Not only that Ruby also smelt of alcohol and several chemicals that to Blake's knowledge were drugs but which ones she wasn't sure.
_____________________________________________Honestly, Weiss was less surprised by Ruby's appearance and more by the fact she offered them alcohol like it was the most normal thing in the world. Then there was the robot and rifle. The robot looked less advanced than the ones from Atlas, but judging by the fact that it hovered off the ground it might be more than it seems. The rifle on the other hand, which looked like a box taped to a grip and stock, was definitely more advanced than Atlas tech if the 'turn you to ash' comment was anything to go off of.
Weiss then remembered that the dolt pointed a gun in her face, just who does she think she is. On top of that how stupid does she have to be to ask for information she already knows. Then it hit her, Ruby didn't know who they were and where she was meaning that she must have been gone longer than the couple of hours they thought.
That couldn't be right though they had seen her last night. Now that Weiss looked at Ruby she was older maybe a year old than herself was right now. After taking a closer look at Ruby's armor she noticed it appeared to have sand on it.
_____________________________________________Six after waiting for several minutes for them to answer her question assumed their silence meant that they didn't want any whiskey. Then she realized what they said moment before they froze in shock like they had seen a Bloatfly kill a Deathclaw. Ruby, her name, the name she hadn't gone by for four long years.
Ruby Rose died in Goodsprings, Nevada home of the Mojave wasteland and new Vegas. Her death gave rise to Courier Six vengeful living legend of the desert. Whether it was from the vast crumbling expanse of the Divide, or the crater that was once Big Mountain, Six was not to be trifled with Ulysses had learned that first hand.
Without a second notice she raised the prototype laser rifle to a firing position and shot at the group's feet. The rage clearly painted on Six's scarred face. Ruby Rose was dead, she was a naive child whose ideals got her killed in the wastes.
With the strangers finally back to reality she asked the question burning in her mind.
"Who are you and how do you know that name?" Six asked coldly making her anger clear.
She turned to the blonde one as she started to speak.
"What are you talking about we're teammate Ru-" the blonde person stopped and jumped back as Six shot at her feet.
_____________________________________________Yang jumped back from the shot that interrupted her as she was about to Ruby's name. She looked at the ground where the shot hit and saw that the ground was scorched black. She then shuddered as she thought of what would have happened if she hadn't jumped back.
"Answer my question I won't give another warning" Ruby said with a cold stair.
Yang seeing no other options decided to answer her sister's questions.
"My name is Yang Xiao Long, the girl with the white hair is Weiss Schnee, and the girl with black hair is Blake Belladonna. As for how we know that name..." Yang paused unsure of how her sister might react to this information.
"Well miss Xiao Long are you going to finish or am I going to search though your ashes" Ruby said as she moved her fingers to the trigger.
Weiss and Blake just in disbelief at Ruby threat. It was clear it was no empty threat by Ruby's actions alone. However that's not what left them stunned it was the fact that she was both really and willing to kill another person. A person that just so happens to be her sister.
"We know that name because it's the name of my half sister and our team leader" Yang continued after hearing her sister's threat.
"What" Ruby said quietly as she heard the answer.
