Six was somewhat shocked by what she heard. This girl, Yang, was Ruby's sister which Six knew was a real possibility. Especially considering the only thing she could remember after getting shot was Ruby becoming a courier for the Mojave express. However that doesn't mean Six was just going to believe it immediately.

"So what are you and your team doing out here" Six said well still pointing her laser rifle at Yang.

"We were on a mission and we planned on returning today" The girl with the white hair, Weiss, finally spoke up.

"Well then you're going to take us with you" Six said as she barely even looked at Weiss.

"That's absurd do you really think we're just going to bring you with us" Weiss commented before Six had turned her rifle on her.

"Last time I checked you weren't in a position to make that choice" Six stated coldly before starting to speak again. "Ed-e keep an eye on the one with white hair. Rex you look after the mutant"

Ed-e only beeped in response and Rex gave a simple bark confirming that they understood the order. After hearing this Six put her desert ranger helmet back on. Once the helmet was on the lenses glowed a pale green as if it came from a place where the very air was toxic.

Blake had been calling many unsavory things in the past, do to being in white fang, but never had she been called a mutant. The name both confused and hurt her. The term 'mutant' implied that this person didn't know what a faunus was which brought up even more questions. Where did this person come from that they didn't know what a faunus was?

It hurt because of the person saying it they looked exactly like her team leader, right down to the silver eyes, albeit older, less trusting, and looking like she had to fight hordes upon hordes of Grimm by herself. However this person ,whoever they are, was not Ruby. That was clear by how they conducted themselves.

'Just who is this person?' Was all Blake thought as they were walking to the bulkhead pick up. She needed to find out it would help find Ruby the woman clearly knew her just based on her reaction to the name.

That's when her partner Yang spoke up. Though Blake wished she hadn't because it was clear Yang had a momentary lapse in judgement.

"So what's with the helmet and duster Ruby"

"Don't call me that if you care for your life" was the only response they got.

"Then what do we call you" Blake said

"Just call me Courier or Six everyone does" the now named Six said.

'Courier? Six?' Blake thought confused about why she wanted to be called by a number or job title.

Yang was not very fond of how quiet it had been. So she decided to try and start up a conversation. Right as she was about to speak up again she turned to see Ruby or Six as she had insisted on being called, taking a tablet out of a rectangular box that had the word Mentats on it. Yang then watched as her sister popped the tablet In her mouth and chewed.

"Sooooo whatcha got there" Yang said hoping to get something from the girl in the duster.

"Mentats"

"And what are Mentats?" Yang asked

"A drug that improves cognitive ability and perception" the helmeted girl said as her mood notably improved.

'DRUGS? MY SISTER IS TAKING DRUGS!' was all Yang thought after learning the information. However she was broken from her thoughts as sister continued.

"Though it is pretty tame compared to Psycho or god forbid Jet"

In the end Yang's curiosity got the best of her and asked Ruby a question.

"So Six what makes the other two so bad?"

"Where should I start I've been hooked on both in the past neither of them is pleasant" she said surprising Weiss, Blake, and Yang.

Just what had their leader been though? They knew she drank and had scars that would have taken longer to heal than she was gone. Now on top of that they found out that she had been addicted to at least two drugs, possibly three as they could see the difference after she popped the Mentats. She was more chatty, had a more visible pep in her step and body language had become less hostile.

The more Six spoke the more Weiss became concerned. Sure Weiss wasn't the best at conveying her thoughts to others but that doesn't mean she doesn't care about those around her. So to gain insight on what happened she decided to continue the conversation in hopes it help figure out what change her partner.

"I guess you should start with Psycho since you mentioned it first." Weiss stated

"Psycho is a military grade amphetamine that numbs the senses and higher brain function allowing a person to take more damage and stay focused on one specific task."

"Sounds like it'd be useful in hard battles" Weiss observed

"Yeah that's until you hear the side effects. If you have a weak heart you would have a heart attack on the spot and if you're lucky enough to live even one hit of Psycho can cause permanent brain damage."

"Those are some pretty nasty side effects" Yang spoke

Six looked back at Yang before she spoke again "I never said I was done listing the side effects. The long term effects include dementia, psychosis, elevated levels of aggression, and general agitation." Six then finished

"And you said you got addicted to this stuff?" Weiss asked

"Yeah but fortunately I was able to kick it quick with the help of Arcade."

"Arcade?" Blake questioned

"Someone I used to travel with and a member of the followers of the apocalypse"

"Interesting"

Weiss couldn't understand it every question Six answered only gave way to bigger questions. What was the followers of the apocalypse? If Psycho was a military grade drug why hadn't she heard of it? Why did Ruby insist on being called that stupid name Six?

"And jet?" Blake continued

Six was about to speak when she suddenly stopped and fell silent. This confused team WBY until Six spoke again. The words that six muttered gave Yang a bit of a chuckle.

"What in the god damn"
