during school, yuri and sunghoon were at a study room in the library, giving them privacy and a sound proof room from the outside. even though the students could see them through the glass, at least they couldn't hear them.

"how dare you make a fool of me? i thought we had the relationship, not you and her. how dare you deceive me.. how long was this engagement? do you really still like her after what that bitch has done to me?"

to be clear, yuri wasn't mad at sunghoon for playing with her feelings. she definitely does not like him in that way anymore but was willing to give him a second chance as she began to like him again little by little.

but what made her angry was that she thought the two had planned the engagement beforehand and embarrass her while she needed help from sunghoon, trying to fake a relationship.

but sunghoon's attention was caught by hyejin who was smirking at him through the glass of the room and left after getting a book.

"did you hear me?" yuri raised her voice as sunghoon became startled.

"don't say that." he said calmly.

"it's because of her again, isn't it?"

"i said dont say that." he said sternly.

yuri's lips twitched as she threw her handbag on the floor and was about to leave the room until sunghoon prevented her to.

"let me go.. i said to let me go!" she tried to get out of his grasp but sunghoon wouldn't let her go and hugged her.

"i'm sorry.."

yuri knew she had to do this. this was the perfect timing to leave him and keep him safe. there would be no other chances like this..

she pushed him away as her cold eyes replaced her soft ones.

"at first, i had hope that you were beginning to change for me, but it turns out i was wrong.."

"wait!" he held her wrist.

"i never wanted this engagement. m-my mom! she did this. i don't know why but a few weeks ago, she put me in that engagement with hyejin for my safety but i don't know what she's talking about!"

but yuri did.

"sunghoon-ah.." she held his hands.

"do you not see what's happening in front of you? you're destined to be with hyejin and i am to be with heeseung. we were never meant to be."

"but it doesn't have to be that way.. hell, i don't even like hyejin, nor do you like heeseung!" he cupped her face to make yuri face him.

"but you're wrong! i.. i love heeseung.. and i plan on getting married with him soon." she moved away from his hands. this news shocked sunghoon to the max.

"y-you don't mean that, right? come on, yuri, you said it so yourself, you don't like him! you fucking hated him.."

"what's so wrong of changing my mind?" she asked, as sunghoon was baffled.

now, his desperation turned into anger. he was tired of yuri being so gullible all the time.

"why the hell would you even fucking believe them, yuri? you should know that those 2 are playing their games with us just so they can get what they want.. cant you see that or are you just fucking blind?" sunghoon pushed her shoulder.
