Vikk was sleeping peacefully with Lachlan by his side. The two had just began their relationship together, so no one knew about it. The other four boys didn't even know that Vikk and Lachlan even liked guys like that, but Vikk was in no hurry to tell them.
The night was very quiet. The only sounds that could be heard were frogs and crickets. Well, at least that's all they could hear before the boys were woken up by a loud scream.
All of the boys ran out of their tents. Well, almost all of them. Vikk looked around at the four boys in front of him, but Lachlan was no where to be found. Tears welled up in Vikk's eyes and he began to yell.
"What in the hell happened?" He paused, "Lachlan! This isn't funny, you can come out now!"
Jerome cut in, "uh, guys," he pointed to Vikk and Lachlan's tent, "there's, uh, blood on that tent..."
"What?" Vikk asked, tears streaming down his face, "was there like a bear or something?"
"I don't see any paw prints," Rob said after turning on a flashlight and pointing it by the tent's entrance.
"There's a handprint on this side..." Preston said, pointing the light at a bright red handprint on the side of the tent.
"Does this look like Lachlan's handprint to you, Vikk?"Vikk walked over to Preston and looked at the bloody handprint on the tent.
"No, that's too big to be Lachlan's..." He sighed and wiped his face, "Do you think he's dead?""I don't know," Mitch said as he picked up the bag he had been packing, "but we have to find out,"
"You're not telling me that we're going out there... Are you?" Jerome asked mitch who was pointing his flashlight at the new found trail of blood behind the shredded tent.
"How else are we supposed to know if he's alive?" Mitch asked the group.
"He does have a point," Vikk said as he followed mitch down the path. The other boys soon followed and they were on their way to find Lachlan.
The pack (minus Lachlan) had been searching for what seemed like forever when they came across an oddly shaped rock-type-thjng across the creek from them.
"The blood ends here," Mitch said with a sigh, "but there's no sign of Lachlan..."
Vikk was about to speak when he was interrupted by a quiet groaning sound from across the creek.
"Mitch, hold my bag..." Vikk said before dropping his bag into Mitch's hands. Vikk pointed his flashlight across the creek at the oddly shaped rock to see the small crooked figure of his boyfriend huddled over on the other side of the creek.
"Lachlan!" Vikk yelled as he ran through the shallow creek to the other side, picking up Lachlan's face and staring into his eyes.
"Vikk?" Lachlan muttered weakly, "Vikk you need to get out of here..."Vikk cut Lachlan off, "I'm not going anywhere," he paused, "I'm not going anywhere without you,"
Lachlan smiled as Vikk gently planted a kiss on his lips.
"Come on, Lachlan, lets get you out of here," Vikk whispered to Lachlan.
"Jerome, Rob, help me out," Vikk called across the creek and the two boys came over to help them. Together they gently picked Lachlan up and carefully began to carry him back to the camp so they could get him to a hospital.
"Let's hurry up and get him out of here," Vikk said. The pack agreed and began to walk faster, but before they could get very far a strange voice called out to them.
"You boys aren't going anywhere," the voice said. It was a very high pitched voice, almost as if it belonged to a girl...
