Vikk walked through the door and fell to his knees, sobbing violently. Jerome walked over to him and knelt down beside him, pulling him up and into a hug to try and comfort him. They all heard the gunshot. They all knew that Lachlan was killed, and they all know that Vikk had watched it happen.

No one said anything as Vikk cried into Jerome's chest. They only stood there, watching Vikk. The girl, whoever she was, was standing in the doorway, tapping her foot.

"Are you almost done?" She asked, obviously annoyed, "we're going to be late,"

The group sighed and Vikk let go of Jerome. The girl stood at the front of the group and led them to a small staircase that led up into some kind of loft space. She stepped aside.

"Ladies first," she said sarcastically, staring at Vikk.

Vikk sighed and walked up to the stairs, looking up them nervously as he began to climb up slowly. One after the other the boys climbed up into the small attic-like space, the girl following after them. When they all got upstairs they saw the figure of a large chair in the back of the room.

"What's that?" Preston asked Rob quietly.

"I think it's a chair..." Rob whispered in responce.

As the boys stopped their whispering, the chair slowly spun around, revealing a rather large man sitting in it, staring at the boys with blind eyes.

"I may not be able to see," the man joked, "but I can still hear," he stopped and turned his head in the direction of the girl who had kidnapped them. 'Nicely done, Ashley, you have done a wonderful job,"

"Thank you, sir," the Ashley grinned.

His head turned back to the group, "now, boys. I bet your all wondering why you're gathered here today," he stopped and smiled, " well I'm going to tell you! You're all here so we can play a little game... You know, kind of like hide and seek. Except it's not hide and seek. It's a little more fun than that, especially for me," he chuckled, "I will allow you to split into groups. Except for the crying one. He's on his own,"

Everyone shuffled together into groups, except for Vikk who hadn't moved since they got up to the room. Mitch and Jerome stood next to eachother as well as Preston and Rob. After the shuffling was over, the man began to talk again...

"Now that that's done, we can get onto the good part," he paused and turned the chair around. After a moment he turned back around with three things in his hands; a set of small knives, a thick rope, and a small bow with 10 arrows.

"What're those for?" Vikk asked, wiping his face with his bare arm.

"I'll get to it, boy, stop being impatient!" The man yelled at Vikk before turning back to the group. "Each group gets to pick one of these things. You're going to need them later," the main paused and looked blindly around the room, trying to find Vikk. "You, the impatient crying one... You get to choose first,"

Vikk sighed, slowly walking up and talking the coiled up rope from the arm of the chair.

"The rope," the man paused as if he was thinking, "interesting..."

He looked around again, stopping when his face was facing Rob and Preston, "you two. Choose,"

The two boys conversed quietly for a second before Preston went up and grabbed the bow and arrows.

"Now you two," he said, facing Mitch and Jerome, who both went up and grabbed the knives. There were four of them, so they each got two.

"Good, good," the man grinned, "now we can begin," he signaled to Ashley and she nodded.

"Alright! Everyone listen here! I will let each of you out of the house and you will get about 20 minutes to prepare before I begin the game," she said, grinning.

"What do you mean 'begin the game'?" Vikk asked.

"You'll see," Ashley said as she opened a door that led to a staircase that ended into the woods. "crybaby, you'll go to the left, knife group, you'll go to the right, and bow people, you'll go straight ahead," she paused and looked around at the room of confused faces, "and you better hurry up,"

After that each group went down the stairs and quickly ran in their specified directions.

After a while of running Vikk slowed down, looking at his watch. It had been about ten minutes since he left the house and he had been crying the whole way. He couldn't believe what they had done to Lachlan. He couldn't live with himself for letting him die. He and Lachlan had made a promise. He told him that he would never let him die and he let him die... He couldn't live with himself...

Vikk untied the rope and threw part of it over the tree, making sure it was secure. He tied a nice noose for himself and then he put it around his neck and then letting go. He let go of everything, including his life. He just hung there, unable to breath, thinking about how he would finally be able to see Lachlan again, and then everything went black...
